Wendy, Mark, and Irene are still the best of friends. None of them have dated yet but that doesn't matter. They'll always be friends forever. They managed to survive 9th grade together and they'll continue doing so throughout high school. Wendy and Irene's crush on Mark faded away. Their friends' relationships are still going strong.
What happened this year taught them that friendship is important. Seaweed soups and Olaf cakes are, too.
