Chapter 5: No way...

CHapter 5~

They don't exsist... I kept telling myself over and over. I was imagining things. I've gone mad. Travis is a liar. He's playing with my heart. It was all a dream. A nightmare. Anything to get that out of my head, I made it up. They are just fairytales. It's like Jacob popped outta the book and was talking to me from Twilight! Unbelievable.

It was saturday... a week before the Valentine's Day and dance. I couldn't even speak properly to my parents... I was an only child so they left me alone only on rare occasions. I decided they could tell me if I was mad or not. My mom and dad were in the kitchen... my mom cleaning some dishes and my dad reading the paper.

I walked into the kitchen..."Uh... hey mom...dad... I need to ask you something..." I looked at them with a weird look. 

"Nothing sexual right?" My dad looked at me seriously.

"No!" I yelled at him.

"Just ask us Honey..." My mom looked at my dad with a stern face.

"Um... do Werewolves exsist?" I looked at them. My mom stopped washing, my dad stooped reading. They then looked at each other and my father stood up and walked over to my mother.

"Why do you ask about Werewolves?" My father tilted his head. My mother looked at my father and then at me.

"All of the football team are werewolves... I'm not lying either! They saved me! I was being attacked by some guy!" I looked at them.

"Uh..." My father looked down.

"Oh just tell her Honey!" My mother cried. My dad sighed and then looked at me.

"When we were younger... we couldn't have a child... we tried so many times... but we just couldn't. We got a sperm donor... but once your mother was pregnant the donor told us that he was a werewolf. So... you were born as a werewolf. But we stopped your wolf blood until you had wolves near you! But we never thought it would ever happen!" My mom hugged my dad tightly. I... am a werewolf too? This doesn't make sense! So I'm gonna turn into a dog?!

"Tell me about how this mating stuff works?" I looked at them curiously...

"Oh um... Ya, once you are at a certain age you will become uncontrollably attached to another wolf. And he will feel the urge to protect you. So be on the look out. It could happen at anytime." My mom said with a smile. Why was she smiling?! Does this mean Travis is my... mate?!

The weekend past by quickly and quietly...but I did do some research on werewolves... just incase... Monday was quickly to come and go. I decided it would be safer to avoid Travis for that day. First and second period went so fast I was SO glad. Lunch I was ready for though. I sat down at the corner table with Cathy.

"Hey why aren't you at the game? It's almost over..." Cathy looked at me sideways.

I kepted my straight face, "I didn't want to."

"But what about Travis?" Cathy looked me dead in the eyes.

I looked away, "They will last without me." I'm nothing special to them, I thought to myself.  I'm sure they will win. Cathy shock her head and continued eating. Third period went by fast and it was now the end of fourth, English. The announcements came on and we all went silent and listened.

"And here's a message from our School's favourite football Captian, Travis Jacobs!" My class cheered for him.

"Hey Meadowville. Today for our our first kick off game, we unfortunatly did not win. The team and I apologize for this unfortunate event, but we have one message that we strongly believe in. Our dearest fan was not with us today at the game and we believe she puts fire into our fight. Next time we hope she shows but we will try our hardest anyways! Thanks Meadowville!" And with that... the announcements were done. Everyone turned trying to figure out who the fan girl is... which is me. He can't be serious that they didn't win because I wasn't there. If they find out its me then everyone will go all angry mob on me! 

I was walking through the parking lot when suddenly, I was pushed from behind. A group of girls were there snickering. They were perps, probably cheerleaders. "We know your the fan girl." They laughed.

"So what!" I regained my posture.

"Next time you want to ruin our game, don't bother showing up to school, oh and stay away from Travis. Your a loser." They pushed me again and walked away. I was so mad, I was so pissed! Suddenly I started to feel pain in my feet and hands, and large teeth growing from mine! One second I was human... the next... Wolf!

All I wanted to do was to teach those girls a lesson. I followed them as they went off to the football practice. They stood on the ground, clapping like losers in there heels and waving to the boys. I slowly crawled over to them trying to stay out of sight... I noticed my fur... it was midnight black. Epic. Anyway, I crawled up behind them... then I growled. I stood up tall and growled louder baring my teeth. The girls turned and looked at me and screamed that high pitched screak. I started to bark. I walked forward, and the girls took off running into the field. I decided I was gonna tease em and run after them. I ran after the girl who pushed me. I noticed the football players stopped and was studing me. Then I noticed Travis pointing to the guys to get the girls out of here.

Once the other two girls were gone... I was still chasing her by the way, He suddenly leaped, transforming into a brown wolf. He darted at me with run speed. I figured this was a good time to stop chasing and get my ass outta there! I changed directions and tried darting to the other goals to get away from the school. I was running as fast as I could, I looked behind be when suddenly 4 other wolves came up to my sides. Suddenly I felted a hard hit as I holed on the ground a couple times. I looked to see a wolf standing on me.

I took a deep breathe, rested my head back and listened to the growling of the wolves. Suddenly I shifted back... the pain in my back was killing me. I noticed the wolves eyes widen as they all shifted. Travis then stood, hands and knees over top of me with a shocked face.

I shook my head, "Hi guys..." I looked away from everyone. Then the other football guys came up and stared at me.

"Holy shit... Riley?" One of the said. Travis suddenly got off of me quickly and stood up looking around. The other guys helped me up and I shook my hair.

"Your... a werewolf too? How?!" A blonde guy asked.

"Ya... apparently. Travis say something." I looked at him.

"I need to speak to you alone..." He said quietly. I followed him to a back area near the school surrounded by tree's. He looked up at them.

"What's wrong?" I asked him touching his shoulder. He turned to face me.

"You and I... are mates. Because if I didn't kill you, that means your special to me. To find out that your a werewolf is kinda thankful... but sad at the same time. I just wanted someone normal. But... then you came along, and change my whole world. If it wasn't you as my mate... it's you at my girlfriend." He looked at me and smiled.

"Girlfriend...?" I looked at him... I blushed.

"Riley Newson, will you be my girlfriend and mate?" Travis smiled. I was in shock. My eyes widened and I stoped moving.  "Riley?" Travis looked a little worried. I jumped at him, locking my lips on his. I kissed him passionatly and slowly. 

Finally letting go, I said, "Ofcourse!" I smiled so widely and he smiled too, then wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me off the ground into a kiss. We are now soul mates.
