Song for this chapter: Acquainted by The Weeknd

I heard my phone receive a notification and my heart fluttered in hope to be one of the three people I was wishing it to be, but it wasn't. I sighed in frustration, "Stop stressing yourself over it, they'll be glad to see you." Toni attempted to relieve my nerves, but it didn't help. I laid there in fear thinking that the few people I had left ended up leaving me behind because I physically left them first.

Sarah's P.O.V
"Why are you here?" I couldn't tell if Will's voice held annoyance or enthusiasm.

"I'm visiting for a bit." I spoke but before I could say anything more, his arms were tightly wrapped around me.

"Eh hem." The fake sound of someone clearing their throat echoed between us, causing Will to separate his body from mine.

"Oh," He scratched at the back of his neck as if he didn't want the stuck-up looking female there.

"Um, Sarah, this is my girlfriend." her sour expression turned to a fake overworked smile as she walked towards me to shake my hand.

"Damn, how long was I gone for?" I made my sarcasm evident as I aimed an even faker smile towards her.

Sorry honey but if you would have kept your snobby fucking attitude elsewhere I wouldn't have to be a bitch to you, but you mistreat me, I mistreat you. I made my own blood boil.

Who does she think she is? I don't give a shit if she is Will's girlfriend, do NOT piss me off because you'll regret it. To top it all off, that flight is not helping my mood.

She let go of my hand as if she was disgusted by my touch and I was so close to confronting Will about his choice compared to Lauren.

Shit.

Lauren.

I have to see her before she has to go to work.

-

I gave Will a "See ya later" and his girlfriend a glare before leaving and making my way over to Lauren's place.

I stepped inside and after my failed attempt of trying to quietly close the door, I heard her voice boom from upstairs.

"Alex?" Each letter dragging as I heard her voice grow closer.

"Think again." I spoke right when I seen her come into view at the top of the staircase.

"Sar?!" She practically screamed, speeding down the steps two stairs at a time.

I held my arms open as she ran straight towards them.

"I missed you so damn much." Her voice held sadness with a small tint of happiness.

"You have no idea." I responded with my face tightly smashed between her neck and shoulder.

She unwrapped her arms from around my neck and spoke, "I have to leave for work in a couple minutes, I'd call off but-"

I cut her off, "No, you're going no matter what. I'll be here when you get off I promise." I assured her.

"We have so much to catch up on." She told me something I already knew.

"So much." I added extra emphasis.

-

Now that Lauren left for the next few hours, I'm definatley not gonna sit here and waste all this time.

I reconnected with Will and Lauren, that means there's one more person left. Sigh.

I contemplated, hesitated, decided against it, decided for it, I couldn't make up my mind.

Alex, Alex, Alex.

What would happen seeing each other after all this time with no contact? What if things feel different, awkward, odd? What if he's with another girl or found someone else by now?

What's the worst that could happen?

He could humiliate you, make you feel like shit, rip your heart out once more and stomp it to pieces.

Thanks to my conscience for informing me of all that.

Screw it, why not, right?

-

I knocked on his door and there was no answer.

His car is here.

Maybe he got picked up by someone? I tried making myself feel better about the situation of him most likely ignoring my visit.

I tried knocking once more and still nothing.

I started to head back to my car to leave, but my thoughts got the best of me.

What if he's hurt or something?

I made my way back to the door and hesitated but it was unlocked as always.

"Alex? Are you home?" I called out.

Silence.

I was inspecting everything as I made my way up the stairs and through the house.

Damn this place was a mess.

I reached his room and opened the door.

There he was.

Laying in his mess of a bed, peacefully asleep.

I thought about writing a quick note and leaving but I decided against it as I closely watched his calm breathing.

That face, oh how I missed that sleeping face.

I slipped my shoes off and gently sat on the edge of the bed beside him.

Something got the best of me and I couldn't help it. My fingers softly began to push back the loose strands of hair from his forehead.

"I miss you so much." My words were quiet enough not to wake him, but loud enough for me to believe them.

Watching how content he looked, my eyes started to feel heavy.

I laid down beside him, forgetting how awkward it seemed to be doing so.

My eyes fell shut and I was taken be surprise when his arm wrapped around me.

"I wasn't sleeping." His tired voice echoed into my ear, making my heart inch closer to exploding.

I felt as his lips met with the top of my head.

"I knew it was you the second you stepped into the room."

"How?" I mumbled half asleep.

"Your perfume has been haunting me for months." He admitted, his grip around me tightening.

A/N: FUCKING CUTE SHIT DAMN! Sorry about my shitty updates, I know I suck. Alex finally followed me on Twitter homies! I know right, finally! Anyways I hope you enjoyed. Be ready to ride an emotional rollercoaster with the rest of Sarah's visit. Love you babes. 💖
