Chapter 9
Olivia
"Allie, I don't know about this," I said, squeezing into one of Allie's black dresses.
The dress was tight and was hugging the wrong parts of my body. Allie had a lot more curves than I did. Her boobs were bigger, hips wider, legs longer. So finding a dress that was perfect for me was difficult.
I looked at myself in the mirror of her large ensuite, which was bigger than my own bedroom in my apartment, trying to find what I liked about it. It was a simple low cut black dress that hung on me and came down to my knees.
"It can't be that bad. Do you know how many free drinks I got in that dress?" She said, as she continued to look through her wardrobe for another dress for me.
"Well, I won't be," I said coming out of the bathroom to show her.
It was written all over her face.
"Okay, so maybe our body sizes are different," she stated, finally figuring it out.
Her face then lightened as she clicked her fingers.
"I know who can help us," she turned and opened her door, "Callum, I need you!"
At the sound of Callum's name, I bolted for the bathroom. He couldn't see me like this.
"Liv, where did you go?" Allie asked, confused.
I popped my head through the door, ready to disappear again when Callum came.
"I don't want him to see me like this," I told her not sure why I was whispering.
"Trust me, Liv. Callum will think you're beautiful no matter what," she reassured me.
I frowned, not knowing why he should and why my cheeks burned because of it.
"Allie? Somethin' wron'?" At the sound of Callum's voice, I disappeared.
"Aye, we need a lad's opinion," Allie told him.
"Where is she?"
"Hidin'."
I bit my lip feeling nervous with the thought that Callum was just in the next room and the bathroom door was wide open.
"Olivia?" He called making my knees weak at the sound of his accent.
"I'm not showing you the dress, so don't even ask," I told him, trying not to smile.
He chuckled, "why not?"
"Because it looks horrible," I whimpered like a child.
"I've got another dress for you," Allie called, "I promise this one will be good."
I waited till she came into the bathroom before I said, "that's what you said about this one."
She shrugged and handed me the dress, "well, a lass can be wron'."
Once she left the room, I shut the door and slid out of the dress. Still not convinced about this one, I pulled it on and inspected myself.  My eyes grew wide at the girl in the mirror. I didn't recognise myself. The dress was the shortest I've ever worn, stopping just before my mid thighs. The material was shinny and gold with thick strips to hold up the V-neck that showed off my pale collar bone. Even my middle sized boobs looked good and my small ass looked round and full.
I walked out of the room with my head down and my curls in my face. The room was so silent that I wasn't sure if Allie and Callum were still in here.  My whole body froze when two feet stood in front of me and a finger crook my head up to meet his face.
His beautiful face. His fingers moved to my cheeks and I watched as his eyes wondered my face.
"You look beautiful," he told me.
Without even realising, I had shaken my head out of his hand and dropped it.
"Modest little thin', aren't you?" He asked with a chuckle.
When I noticed Allie's unusual silence, I looked around the room and found it empty.
"Where's Allie?" I asked him.
"She's gone to tell Graham that he has five minutes of hair time before you leave."
I giggled, believing Graham to be the type of guy that spent more time in the bathroom on his hair than girls did.
"I never do this," I admitted to him, not sure why, "I mean, the roads are closed, how are we even going to get to the club, bar, place?"
"Oh we have our ways out, don't you worry about that," he said brushing my cheek with his hand again.
The little gesture made me feel precious and treasured, something I hadn't felt in a while.
"You really are beautiful, Olivia," he told me again, making my cheeks burn under his eyes.
Not knowing what to say, I said, "You can call me Liv. Everybody else does."
"Is this everybody in America?"
I couldn't help but laugh at the way he pronounced America. He frowned not knowing why I was laughing.
"What?"
I just shook my head, "Nothing, but yes. I've always gone by Liv."
He nodded, accepting my answer.
Just as he opened his mouth to speak the door opened and Allie came through.
"Wow," she stated, her eyes moving up and down my body, "See, told you."
"Yes, sixth time's a charm," I said in a light voice making Callum chuckle beside me.
"Okay, put them on," she said throwing me shiver heels.
My eyes widened at their height.
"Are these designed to break my ankles or neck?" I asked her.
She just frowned, "What are you talkin' about? They're a normal height."
I shook my head, "No, they are to make me a normal height. But normal height is an understatement."
Again, Callum chuckled beside me but quickly quietened when Allie shot him a dirty look.
"Just put them on," she told me.
I scoffed as Callum took my hand and led me to the bed, "Come on, I'll help you."
I sat on the end of the bed as Callum knelt down in front of me, picking up the ankle snappers. Gently he slid the shoes onto my feet and helped me to stand once I had.
"If I don't break my neck tonight, I'll start excusing," I vowed making Callum chuckle.
"Please, look after her," Callum said turning to his sister.
She rolled her eyes, "aye, of course Brother. I won't let anythin' happen to her."
I smiled as the two of them looked at each other. It was like they were communicating every feeling they had in that one look. It only made me wonder if Amy and I shared that bond.
"Come on, time to go," Allie said taking my hand.
Allie led the way to a part of the house that Archie didn't show me. The walls had mould growing on them and it was like we had entered Dracula's castle. The cement stairs were steep and spiralled down the wall. I had to go down sideways so that I wouldn't fall. The wall lamps gave little light and only made the place gloomier.
"Where's Graham?" I asked realising we were missing him.
"He's already at the Jeep," she answered.
I halted, "the Jeep?"
"Aye, don't you have those in America?"
"Yeah, but wouldn't we get bogged?" I asked moving again.
She just chuckled.
"Trust me, we won't get bogged."
That thought didn't reassure me till I saw it. It was a Jeep on steroids. The wheels were double their normal size and so was the bulbar.
"Where have you been?" Graham grumbled opening the door for us.
"Keep your kilt on," Allie groaned climbing into the back.
Already knowing that I would struggle, Allie held out her hand and pulled me in. I was surprised by the strength that she had.
"Wow, you're strong," I said trying to feel around for a seat belt.
Allie opened her mouth to speak but then closed it.
"You're just really light," she told me after a while.
I shrugged knowing it was true.
The trip was bumpy and windy. Worse than the rides at Disney Land. Graham drove horribly and I honestly thought he was trying to hit every ditch in the road.
Then finally, he stopped. I frowned as the twins got out of the Jeep. There was no buildings, no music, no people. Just trees
"Ahh, what's going on? Where's the party?" I asked, climbing out of the Jeep, trying to ignore the feeling of fear creeping through me. Once again, I had fallen into a horror movie.
"It's over here," Graham said walking over to what seemed like doors to a cellar.
Chains wrapped around the old handles, but with a simple pull, Graham broke it. My mouth dropped and my eyes widen.
"H-how did you do that?" I stuttered pointing to the broken chain in his hands.
"I-it's a fake chain. Only VIPs know about this club," he told me, but a small part of me didn't believe him.
Allie rolled her eyes at him but walked over to help him open the doors. Techno music exploded out, reassuring my nerves about where we really were. I walked to the edge and groaned at the sight of another set of steep stairs.
"What's with you lot and stairs?" I asked not expecting an answer.
At the bottom we were greeted with two bodyguards. They were a head taller than the twins which made them three feet taller than me. Their shoulders were broad and I honestly believed that they would survive being hit by a truck.
"Ah the Patterson Twins, haven' seen you here in a while," one of them stated, folding his arms.
"Have you missed me, Troy?" Graham asked, receiving an eye roll from Allie.
"Who's she?" The second one asked, nodding to where I stood close behind them.
"Liv, she's stayin' with us for a week," Allie told him.
"Does she know the rules?"
I straightened not realising that there were any.
"Of course," Graham reassured them.
The two bodyguards shared looks before shrugging and opening the doors for us.
"Thanks lads," Allie said linking her arm in mine and pulling me through.
People filled the dark dance floor as light lazes flicked around the whole club. A large bar ran across the far wall, protecting the alcohol safely behind it. Large round booths lined the other walls, away from the dance floor where groups of people sat at.
"I'll get us some drinks," Graham told us as Allie took my hand and led me to the dance floor.
Already, she was starting to get in the mood by wooing and bouncing around. I could barely move without feeling unbalanced. Dark bodies bumped into mine as I tried to move out of their way.
"Just bump them back!" Allie yelled over the music, "You're a queen tonight."
I smiled and nodded, trying to copy Allie's move. Amy would love this place. As I started to get the hang of it, Allie froze, her eyes falling on someone in the distance.
"Shite, shite," she muttered to herself, getting my attention, "ah, let's sit down."
I didn't have time to argue with her. She was already pulling me across the dance floor to the booths.
"Allie," I groaned trying to keep up with her without falling on my face.
She stopped and waited for me to slide in first before Graham came over.
"Hey, I thought-."
"Graham, Hector Macangus, is over there," she told him.
I watched the shock and worry spread across his face.
"Allie, if anythin' happens to her Callum will kill us."
I frowned, not believing that they could be talking about me or believed that Callum could be so violent.
"I know. Shite he's comin' over, just follow my lead," pushing Graham out of the way, they both stood in front of the booth and the only way I could see the guy that had come up to them was because he was a head taller than both of them.
"The Patterson Twins, I didn't think they let rogues in here," he asked folding his arms and looking down on them.
"Watch it Hector, we don't want trouble," Graham warned him.
"That's not what I heard," he said narrowing his gaze at them but they held their ground. They had become froze soldiers, protecting what hid behind them. He frowned when his eyes landed on mine.
"Oh, so who owns her?" He asked pointing at me.
"She's mine," Allie told him without blinking.
He looked surprised.
"Really, last time I saw you, you didn't run that way."
She just shrugged as Graham's jaw tightened.
"Aye, well, suckin' your Whalluper all night made me switch lanes."
Graham snicked under his breath not even stopping when Hector shot him a look.
He still didn't look convinced. His eyes kept flicking between Allie, Graham and me trying to see the connection.
"No, if she was yours, you would be..." he paused, tapping his chin as he thought, "no, no, no, she has to be one of your brothers. Archie, no..." he hummed.
Realisation washed over his face like water as he started to chuckle.
"Oh my, this is fantastic," he chuckled, "Would you like to dance, Princess?"
I froze at his question.
It was the Twins reaction to him that made me stand and take his hand. The sense of danger. Knowing that I shouldn't go with him was what made me go with him. As he led me to the dance floor my eyes kept flicking back to the Twins as the argued between each other till finally Graham disappeared with his phone to his ear.
