Chapter 12
Callum
I had another dream last night. It wasn't a memory, more of a hope.
I lied in the middle of my king-size bed, staring at Liv where she stood at the end of it. With deep intense eyes, she pulled the tie of her robe and let it fall open. I shallowed as she shook it off her shoulders, revealing her fair body. Everything inside of me burned as I looked upon her. She was so small but I was finding myself warm with happiness. Her breasts weren't big but I liked that. She was skinny with barely any meat on her.
My eyes watched her carefully, as she came around the bed and crawled onto it on her hands and knees. I pulled her onto my lap where she straddled me. Cupping my neck she brought her lips to mine. Their feeling and taste brought more pleasure to my body than seeing her body naked did to my eyes.
Pulling away, her deep blue eyes looked into mine.
"Callum," she started, her breath too uneven to control, "love me like one of your wolf girls."
A grin formed on my lips as I took hers in mine again. Slowly, I lowered her body to the bed, crawling on top of her. Growls escaped from my lips as I nibbled at her neck, begging to be marked.
Just as my teeth lengthened and just started to pierce her skin. The dream was ripped away from me and I woke up to my room and empty bed.
It wasn't like my usual dreams. In them, I had full control. I controlled the woman's actions and what they would say. This dream I had no control. My mouth dropped slightly as I thought of an explanation.
Since Liv was my mate, my mind was connected to hers. Though I hadn't marked her, I could only enter her mind when it was opened to me. And she had definitely opened it to me. It wasn't long till a cheeky grin formed on my lips as I realised what this really meant. Liv was dreaming about me.

Olivia
I shot awake, sitting up in bed. My mouth was dry and my skin was sticky from sweating. I felt flushed as the dream replayed in my mind.
Oh God I wanted to groan. What the hell was I thinking? I didn't even like the Titanic movie and now I was quoting it in weird sex dreams with Callum. Oh God Callum. The way his eyes looked upon my body when I showed it to him. The desire I felt when he stared at me. And for the fourth time, his eyes once again turned gold.
My thoughts turned to the five piles of folded clothing that sat on the cushioned bench at the end of the bed. I didn't recognise them as mine.
I pulled the doona off me and walked over to them and frowned at the note.

Enjoy Liv

I opened my mouth to speak but couldn't find the words. Did Callum buy these for me?
Mixed feelings flooded through me that I didn't even know where to start when sorting them out. This was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me and that was including my sister entering me into that competition. But then it was like he was trying to show just how much money he had by buying me things. Not to mention the fact that he didn't think I could wear the same clothes for a week. But on the other hand, I couldn't wear the same clothes for a week.
I groaned giving in and searched through the pile of clothes. Jeans, blouses, underwear, even shoes. I froze when I picked up a pink silky robe reminding me about the one I wore in the dream. I quickly dropped it when I started to feel flushed again.
How the hell was I going to face him today knowing that we almost went to third base in my dream?
There was a knock on my door. I groaned wondering why someone would be looking for me at nine o'clock in the morning. Realising I was in the wrong sized nighty, I took the robe and wrapped it around me.
To my bad luck, Callum was the one that was behind my door.
He opened his mouth to speak but froze when he saw me tying up my robe.
"I see you have gotten your present," he stated pointing at the robe.
"Yes, about that. Callum you didn't -."
"Don't say anythin' unless it's a thank you," he told me.
I thought for a moment before saying, "thank you."
He nodded, smiling, "anyway, I wanted to ask if you would like to have a tour of the estate."
I opened my mouth to say no, but I paused. I didn't want to say no.
"Okay, I'll just get changed."
He nodded and left me.
I couldn't help but groan. God he was so gorgeous. How the hell will I stop from kissing him now?

I needed to get more fit. If I didn't, these Patterson's would kill me. Callum was trying to stay at my speed even cutting his stride in half. He helped me over the fallen logs and tried to avoid the thick mud though it was hard. It had rained last night again, making everything that was almost dry damp again.
"I'm afraid that everythin' is wet and muddy around these parts. Not like anythin' you'll see in New York."
"It's okay," I told him, waving him off, trying to catch my breath, "I'm just not really fit."
He chuckled knowing that it was true.
"How about I give you a piggyback?" He suggested.
I nodded accepting any option that didn't involve me walking. He knelt down in the mud with his arms linked around my legs as I flopped on his back. He groaned standing up, then jumped to get me in a better position. My short legs fitted perfectly around his waist like his body was made for mine. With his long legs, he made walking in the thick mud effortless and the speed we were walking at increased.
"So," I started, "do you walk around the estate often."
"Often enough. But I can't do it as often as I use to."
"Because of the paper work?" I asked.
He nodded, "but not just that. My siblings cannot be trusted not to kill each other without me makin' sure that they don't."
"Come on, they're not that bad," I said.
For the past couple of days, I knew that they argued and often they threatened each other but I would never think that they would actually hurt each other.
"No, I supposed they're not," he agreed.
I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder. Knowing that his face was so close to mine didn't affect me anymore. His pace slowed down and I felt his whole body tense as my cheek brushed against his neck. I hadn't even realised I was doing it. Not until we came to a complete stop. His arms dropped my legs and I slowly slid down his body to the ground. He turned around to face me making my heart race, his eyes staring intensely at my lips.
"Kiss me," he asked in his deep Scottish tone.
I was so shocked by the order that I didn't even register what he had said. Not until he cupped my cheek and brought his lips up to meet mine. I waited for his touch and frowned when I didn't feel them.
"Oh God no," he muttered.
I opened my eyes and frowned when his gaze was somewhere behind me. When I turned around, all I saw was a thin guy, his clothing drenched and just hanging on his shoulders, about a few feet from us. His breathing was heavy and I wasn't sure if he really was growling.
Callum wrapped an arm around the front of me, half pushing me behind his back.
"Liv, get out of here," he ordered.
I couldn't ignore the hint of a growl at the end of his words.
"Callum, what's going on?" I asked, not being able to make my voice strong. My eyes kept flicking between the guy and Callum, not understand his sudden aggressiveness.
"Liv get -."
He didn't have time to finish his sentence. The guy bolted for us. Just as I was about to pull Callum away, he ran for the guy. Screams escaped my lips when his skin melted away and a black wolf took his form. My feet wouldn't work and I fell to my knees watching as the black wolf and the grey one fought it out. Questions rambled off in my head, never finishing.
How the hell - what just - did I really?
Warnings and threats escaped through the teeth of the Black Wolf as his large body protected me from the Grey Wolf. It snarled back and snapped its teeth going for the Black Wolf's feet. Aggressive growls came from him as he stomped on the other's muzzle, stopping him of snapping. Once the Black Wolf released him, he stumbled back giving him one last snarl before finally turning and disappeared.
I was frozen and couldn't look into the eyes of the now human man in front of me. I couldn't attach the line. My brain wouldn't allow me to see them as the same person. The Callum who was just the human to the Callum that was also a wolf.
"Liv?" He asked cautiously as he lowered his body till it was the same height as mine. I didn't realise I was crying till I tasted my salty tears and couldn't breathe through my nose.
"Please, don't -."
I ran.
