So even though "Perfume" has over 700 reads, I'm not sure how many of those are actual readers who found this story amidst the other shining jewels of stories in this site and chose mine as the one to read, or how many are just friends who I "forced" into reading this. But anyway, thank you for reading and voting and enjoying the story. I began writing this story last November (finished in January) so it's almost been a year. I love this story and I hope you did too. There is a sequel and it is finished, but I don't know when (or if) I'll post that. I will probably began to work on the third book around December of this year, as I am currently working on a new general fiction project called "The Character Book" (It's up now, so go check it out!).
My goal is to start querying this story by next summer, so hopefully I'll get some awesome people to edit it, I'll send it off, and see what happens :D.
"Perfume" is a deeply symbolic story, almost allegoric, and although I will not take the time to explain the symbols and what it all means (although I think it's all pretty obvious), I hope you understand at least one or two. You don't have to, of course, because my main purpose is not to be symbolic but to write a story people enjoy and connect, or at least enjoy.
