Chapter Six: Am I Loved?

Alright folks, here's a surprise update. Last time, I saw 155 reads and I was jumping up and down, literaly. So i thought of updating even though I have my exams. Please keep reading, voting and commenting, really means a lot to me :)

And I'd also like to ask, since this is my first book on wattpad, do people have an aversion towards werewolf genre? Coz seriously, Teen fiction and Romance are the ones I see people actually rooting for. Please do tell

Chris's POV

I glanced down at her unconscious form. How I could see life draining out of her as I yelled,” Speed up! She's losing a lot of blood." Claire glanced back at us and said,"Oh my God. Damon please be quick."

"I'm doing all I can guys," he muttered.

"Nicole baby, please don't give up. Please. I'll be nothing without you. Even if I live for a day, it will be all pain. I'll never forgive myself," I send her a message through our mind link.

"Chris, thank God, I thought I won't be able to connect to you,"  I heard Nicole's voice say. I was bewildered, as I widened my eyes at her, she was still unconscious. Her voice was okay, but somehow it sounded different........Wait, is it-

"Yes, it's me. I'm Nicole's wolf. Her other and probably better half,"  the voice said again.

"But Nicole's unconscious, how can you talk to me?" I asked.

"That's the thing. Nicole's unconscious, she can't control me anymore, but I can't take over her form, 'cause she's to weak, you know."

"Tell me, what can I do to save her?"

"I don't know Chris, and I'm scared because of that. But Chris, you have to find a way. Nicole's a really good girl, she and I both know that she loved you right from the day you stole her first kiss."

"It was her first?" 

"Yes, but we're going a bit off-topic. I just want you to know that Nicole loves you, just like a love your wolf, but  you'll have to give her some time. Life has taken too much from her for a girl her age and she needs something safe and something.............that's permanent. She wants to be sure of that. And she's not happy with the fact that you started the war in which her parents died, so keep holding on and please save her,"

"I will. I'll give my life to it."

I broke off the link and looked outside; we were almost there, at our family doctor's place. As soon as the car stopped I clutched Nicole to my chest and carried to the door. Meanwhile Damon was already knocking the door vigorously and shouting, "Dr. Hawk! Dr. Hawk! It's Damon and Chris, this is an emergency!"

The door opened immediately and Dr Hawk, our family doctor, looked at our terrified forms. His gaze drifted to Nicole's unconscious form and the pool of blood that was now forming on the floor. "Come in, quick," he said.

I staggered in as he held the door for me; Damon and Claire were at my heels. The doctor led us into his clinic, which was quite familiar for me as I'd been coming here since childhood. I laid Nicole on the table as he brought a pole and a bag.

"What the- is, is she gonna need a transfusion?" I asked, panicked.

"Yes, do you know her blood type?" Dr. Hawk asked. I asked the same question to Nicole's wolf, as I didn’t know it.
