You could hear the continuous threatening yells of the police officers chasing after you. But instead of stopping, you smirked as you went into a narrow alleyway. You looked back to see several of the police officers helplessly stop outside because the path was too narrow for them.
Well someone's gotta cut down the doughnuts.
You chuckled to yourself as you continued sidestepping towards the other side. Why do they keep chasing you anyway? In your point of view, you're doinh nothing wrong. You were just creating a little more art to liven up the streets.
What was their term for that again? Oh, right. Vandalism. Sell a piece of paper for a million dollars, it's called art. Draw something totally sensible for the world to see for free, it's called vandalism.
Oh what a very interesting world we live in.
"I got this. Secure the other side!" You heard someone yell from the cluster of policemen, then saw another another guy--also in police uniform-- push through them and start weaving into the alley as well. He looked a lot younger--and better looking if you be completely honest--and obviously more fit than the other policemen. And he was catching up to you fast.
"Shit," you hissed as you moved faster. You started to hear policemen shouting from the other side as well, about to corner you. Cursing another time, you looked for another way out. You looked up and saw a window. Perfect.
You did a quick jump and was thankfully able to reach the window sill. You hauled yourself up and lifted open the glass window.
"Excuse me, coming through. Hey nice toy buddy. Sorry. Thank you!" You said continuously at the very confused kids that saw you climb into their room. You went straight to the front door and ran up the stairs, towards the rooftop. You could faintly hear the police guy apologizing from the room you were just in.
As soon as you were on the rooftop, you started jumping from roof to roof since the buildings around here were closely situated anyway. You broke into a huge grin, loving how you could feel the thrill creeping up your every nerve. You felt so alive. Which was probably the reason why you were so addicted to it.
As you reached the last rooftop on that row of buildings, you looked behind. No sign of police guy. You looked over the edge to take a quick scan of a spot away from police's sight, and saw an alley just perfect for your escape. You climbed down the emergency stairs, and quietly landed back on the ground. You were about to climb up the fence when suddenly, a pair of arms grabbed you from behind, pressing you against the brick wall with your one arm twisted to your back.
"You're pretty fast," a male voice spoke, and judging from the youthful voice, he was most probably the police guy. Ypu were both breathing heavily due to all the running you just did.
You fought the urge to shiver as his every breath brushed over your ear.
"Thanks," you answered. "You're pretty fast too."
"Thanks," he muttered back as he fumbled around for his handcuffs, still keeping your arm secured with his other hand. He was also kind of pressing his body against yours to keep you from moving, which made the situation a bit weird.
