Chapter 11

The next day. I woke up and ate some breakfast. I don't have gymnastics, so I can have a day off. At 12:01(right now) I got a text message from Liv. It said, Hey Ans, can you come over tonight at 5:00 to hang at my house? I thought about it. "Hey mom!" I shouted. "Yes sweetie?" She asked walking into the living room where I was. "Can I go over to Liv's house at 5:00 to hang out?" "Hmmm, I don't know Annie." I made a puppy face. "Please!" "Ok, you can, but on one circumstance, will you feed the dogs and pick up your room please?" "Oh yes! Thank you mom, I will!" "Your welcome." She laughed. I got right to work. First, I fed the dogs. After that, I cleaned my room. Once I was done, I checked the time. It's 1:30. "Hey mom, can we have lunch?" I said as I was walking into her room. "Yeah, let's go out somewhere, where do you want to eat?" My mom asked. "Um..how about chipotle." "Sure, let's get Hayley and daddy from the backyard and we'll go." "Ok." When we were at chipotle eating, I saw Timothy and his family walk in. What a coincidence. I watched him order his food and sit down at his table. "Hey mom?" "Yes?" She asked. "Can I go over and say hi to Timothy over there?" I asked pointing to his table. "Yes, as long as he is done eating or didn't get his food yet." "Ok." I looked over to see. It looked like he was waiting for his food. I don't see any waitresses around him. "He is waiting for his food I think and I don't see any waitresses around him." I said to mom. "Ok, then you can go over and say hi then." She smiled. I smiled back. I walked over there slowly. I came closer to him. I was so nervous for some reason! I took my last step. I swallowed slowly with my eyes wide open and sweating. I looked up, smiled, and took a deep breath. "Hi Timothy." I smiled. He looked up and smiled. "Hi Annie." "How are you?" I asked. "I'm good." He sighed. Uh oh. "You don't look good, you look troubled." I frowned. He sighed again. "Well, there has been trouble with my mom and dad, you see, my dad finally got a job, but it's in Texas and that's really far away, and my mom got mad and there has been some fighting going on for days now between them." He sighs. "I don't know what's going to happen, I just hope it's not a divorce." He teared up. I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. I feel bad for him. "Timothy, I didn't know...sorry." "It's ok, you didn't know, I'll be fine." I knew he wouldn't be fine but I didn't say anything else about it. "What are you doing today? He asked changing the subject. "I'm going to- I got cut off by his father. "Timothy who's your friend?" He smiled at him. "This is Annie, Annie meet my father, John." "It's nice to meet you sir." I smiled. He smiled back. "Hi pumpkin, it's nice to see you too." "Well, I better get going, bye Timothy." "Bye Annie." I walked back over to my seat and sighed. "What's wrong sweetie." My mom asked. "Just family problems with Timothy." "Well that's not good is it? I'll tell you what, if you smile and have a fun time today, I'll buy you ice cream later tonight after you hang out at Liv's, sound like a deal?" She smiled. I smiled back. "Yes, thank you mom." I said while hugging her. "Your welcome, now eat." She giggled. I can't wait for tonight. I thought. Finally, the time has come and its 4:30. "Annie, you ready?" My mom asked. "Yeah, I'm ready." "Let's roll." She got her keys off the counter and we went into the garage into our car. Once we were there, me and my mom came up to Liv's door. Ding-dong The door opened. "Hi Annie!" "Hi Liv." I smile. "Hi Liv, I'll leave you Annie here for a bit, have fun!" "Thanks Miss. Katie. Annie, you can come in now." "Bye mom." I say before the door closes. We walked in Liv's living room giggling and smiling. I stopped giggling. I stood there frozen, staring. "Annie, what's wrong?" I took a deep breath. "What is Brennan doing here?"
