Chapter 18

3 weeks later. It's been 3 weeks since the fight. Each day gets harder and harder. I'm all alone. Katie and all my other friends are at other colleges. So lonely. I cry my self to sleep sometimes. It's been harsh. Accept this morning it felt so good. I felt like nothing happened at all. I got up from bed and brushed my teeth. I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to see a girl that was smaller than me. "Hi can I help you?" I asked. "Yeah, is this room number 202?" She asked. "Yes it is." I smiled. She smiled back. "Well hi, I'm your new room mate and my name is Clara." She said. "Hi, it's nice to meet you. My name is Annie." "Can I come in?" She asked. "Oh yeah." I said laughing. She laughed along. She set her stuff down on her bed. I sat down beside her. "So what do you like to do Annie?" She asked. "I like to craft and do gymnastics." I said. "Cool! I dance." She said. "Wow! Can you show me some moves?" I asked. She laughed. "Why are you laughing?" I asked. "Because I'm too shy to show you my moves." She said. "You don't have to do it if you don't want to." I said. "Ok." She said. "Hey, do you want to go down to the cafeteria and get some breakfast?" She asked. "Sure, after I'm done getting ready." I laughed. She laughed along. After breakfast, we looked at our classes to see if we had any classes together. "At least we have three classes together. History, science, and math." I said. "Yeah." she smiled. That's when I knew we became friends. It's like the world is coming back together. After a week has passed, me and Clara were walking down the hall when... "Ooff." I bumped into someone. The someone I bumped into dropped their books and supplies so I picked it up. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to." I said while picking the books and supplies up. "It's ok." That voice sounded familiar. While I was still picking the stuff up I said, "That's good." I laughed. The someone laughed too. "Well here are your boo-    I dropped the books and supplies. "Brennan?" I asked nervous. "Hi Annie. I'm sorry about what happened. I should've given you a chance to explain. I feel like a jerk for not giving you a chance. I feel really bad Annie. We can just be friends for now if you would like. I know I'm rushing this but you are the best girl in the world I ever met. Now you can go ahead and explain." He smiled and motioned me to. I started to tear up. "I can't!" I said crying. I ran down to my room. "Wait!" Brennan said. I continued to run. I don't know why I was running, I just had too.
