Knowing Your Target

Kenny walked out of the pharmacy and made his way into the adjoining convenient store. He picked up a packet of M & M Peanuts, paid the cashier and then proceeded back to his car. Once inside he sat for a while slowly enjoying his snack.

Beside him in the passenger seat was a file on the detective assigned to the robbery case. He had manage to pay a guy to complied a profile of this detective.

He placed the file on his lap and slowly scan some of the pages.

Good grades from his was young.
Finished high school and head into the force right away.

Been a police office for 18 years has had a string of awards ever since.

He was recently up for a promotion but his girlfriend went nuts and shot two police officers in the precinct killing them both.

Ever since he has been slouching around at work and hasn't close a case since.

Luck seemed to be on his side. If this detective hasn't close a case in quite a while chances are he's desperate to close one, that why he must have been pushing really hard.

Kenny weighed his option

1. Find someone to pin it on

2. Get Terley fired

3. Bribe terley to close the case.

All of his options each had a fault.

Pin it on someone they could put away but risk the police finding him not guilty .

Get terley fired and they may just
Replace.

Bribing him could work but if Tetley is desperate to get back upon his high horse he wouldn't take the bribe and would think that something was up.

But that was the reason why he was investigating him. Kenny knew that terley had some suspicions and he had to clear it up. The next better solution to the problem was to get some dirt on him. That would put a stop to the case.

A few days later

Sasha got out of the elevator with bags of groceries. Struggling to carry them all at once.

"I have been seeing you a lot since recently" Sasha called to joss-Lyn

"Yea, things with Alex and i ate really great"

" you know i hardly ever see him"
" he works at home doing tech stuff"

" he doesn't get out that much does he"

" i practically had to drag him out of that little apartment every once in a while"

" well I'm about to cook dinner why don't you two join us.

"Really okay...sure why not,Its not like we have anything else to do"

"Okay come by the apartment by 8 pm" said Sasha.

" i still don't understand why you agree to this" Kenny asked with a firm tone in his voice.

"Its gonna be fun,besides you don't get out that much "

" I'm not good with people" Alex said

" Relax its just dinner and you're just 30 seconds away from your own home."

"But why the Walcott, couldn't nosey besty or weirdo john invited us, even that emo kid that hates everyone"

"Come on, where's you sense of adventure" she shouted from the bathroom"

"There right beside my sense of safety"

"That's not even remotely fun,what do you have against them"

"The Walcott's are from the higher floor they don't mingle with people below them"

" Their a floor down now, they have to mingle with us "

"Still don't like them "

" Have you ever socialized with any of them ?"

"Well once, i finally couldn't take their loud music and the cops though i was insane for calling so many times so i went up there"

"What happen"

"Well after constantly knocking for a while the husband came to the door"

"What was he like"

"He seem okay, turned down the music after i left"

" wasn't that the right thing"

"Yea i guess, his attitude was strange and he had blood on his chin"

"Well that maybe strange but he did turn down the music, cut the Walcott some slack"

"if you say so"

" now how do i look"

"Well you sure know how to charm a girl."

" its the first time I've seen you in a dress"

" Don't try to ruin the moment"

" Hold on a minute " she said " your tie's a little crooked" she slowly undone it and neatly fix it back." There you go"

" you look quite handsome"

" oh i almost forgot,there's a wine on the kitchen counter"

"Wine? "

"Red wine to be exact "

"Wait here I'll go get it "

Sasha went around the dining table carefully set the plates and all the cooking utensils. When she came home a couple hours ago and told Kenny about the invite he didn't seem angry. He had in fact put up a brave face and even offered to cook
She realize things were going back to normal. If he stopped hitting her and allowed her to socialized more then that mean he really is trying to change.

Sasha had stopped complaining about the doctor's appointment and was rather starting to enjoy her time their. Ash was the one that told her to do something spontaneous in her social life. Meeting Josselyn was the only new person she had the chance of interacting with on a personal level.

She invited Josselyn and her boyfriend. Josselyn wasn't the one that had a apartment in the building but the new guy she was dating was. Sasha has never seen him yet so tonight could definitely be a fun night.
There was a knock at the door and both Sasha and Kenny instantly look at each other. " that must be them " she said

"I go check"

It was indeed them and Kenny invited them.

"This is for you two " Alex said handing over the bottle of wine he brought.

" thank you, I'll put it away for another time"

"Say why don't you let the ladies mingle while us guys talk, Sasha is in the kitchen"

"Okay,Alex I'll be back in a second"
