Part 17// Aftermath

"You guys did great today!" I smile, letting my camera hang off of my waist as I hug each boy individually.
"We owe it all to you." Tony laughs, others nodding in agreement.
"Totally not, but thanks."
We had finished up, and I'm about to leave. We packed everything into a truck moments ago, and now the space is cleared out. Truly a wasteland. I guess that fits appropriately.
The plan is to go back to my apartment, put all my shit down, and go out for lunch. Tea and bagels sounds really fucking good right now, and I'm sure it'll be easy to find some little cafe, it being LONDON. Hopefully I'll even be able to do the math on how much money I'll have made from the shoot after deductions.
//
Walking down the crowded street filled to the brim with tourists, an oddly dark building catches my eye. It's all black, but extremely pleasing for the eye. And, fuck, I could totally eat there.
I make my way towards the door and open it up, immediately being greeted by all types of homely, baking scents. Gorgeous.
Walking up to the cashier, I pull my wallet out of my back pocket and prepare to order.
"Hey! I'm Leer. What can I get you?" The boy with dark hair and striking green eyes smiles at me.
"Um, a medium cup of green tea and a plain bagel would be wonderful." I pull out a ten from my back pocket.
"Yeah! What's your name? We'll give a call when it's ready."
"Tyde."
"Thanks. You can have a seat if you'd like."
I turn around, and my eyes immediately fall on the seat by the door. There's a small section of fairy lights dangling above it and the paint on the glass makes the area just that much cuter.
I sit down on the navy blue wooden seat and pull out my phone.
-
I chug the rest of my now cooled off tea as the chair in front of me drags out.
"Hello. Is this seat taken?" Dan asks me, smiling like a dork.
He probably thinks that he just made the funniest joke in the world.
"Yes, it is. Now, leave."
"That's not very polite of you. Who's sitting here?"
"My imaginary friend, Trina. You're actually sitting on her."
"Maybe Trina likes it."
"You're disgusting, Dan."
Our laughter fills the quiet cafe, and I immediately know that I need to get out of here and wander in the rain with Dan.
"Take me somewhere touristy." I say with all seriousness.
"Phil said to wait for h-"
"I don't care, Dan. Please."
"It's rainin-"
"Please."
"Okay, okay." He gives in, standing up with me.
I am a goddess of persuasion.
"How'd you find me, anyways?" I ask as we walk close together in the light drizzle.
"Intuition?"
"Dan."
"I like going there. It's a nice atmosphere. You discovered it before I could show it to you."
"Aw, that's nice." I blush. He had places to take me. He had plans. I love that idea.
-
"Dan, this is my house." I turn to face him with crossed eyebrows and a light frown on my face.
"I know."
"Dan!" I whine, my forehead hitting his chest.
"I have plans!" He laughs, causing me to lift my head off of him.
"Continue." I take the playful mad expression off of my lips and replace it with a happy one.
"Dress nice. I want to take you to the Shard in about two hours."
The Shard.
He went there with Phil.
Don't ask how I know that. I may or may not have done some hardcore stalking after watching his videos on the plane.
"Sounds fancy. You don't seem like a fancy type of person." I laugh. He's really not. All he wears is expensive t-shirts.
"Well, neither do you."
"Fair enough."
"We'll get through this together. Be ready, Tyde."
With that, he's off, and so am I.
To the bathroom, that is.
I need to fucking pile makeup onto my face.
Or do I?
I'm confident enough with what I have on, maybe I just need to touch it up.
I need to pick out an outfit, though.
But can that really be that hard? That black dress I have with the navy blue lace overlay on the torso is pretty cute, and not too overly fancy.
Shoes?
That's way too fucking easy. Black velvet wedges are pretty much the only "nice" shoes I brought here.
Maybe I don't need two hours.
-
"It's really pretty up here, Dan." I smile, looking out the glass window as Dan has his hands on my waist. We just finished eating, it was so nice and cosy. Dans so nice and soft and kind and I just can't handle him sometimes. I actually excused myself one time because he was being too adorable for my liking.
"Yeah, it is." I can feel the grin plastered on his face as he rests his chin on my head.
Today really couldn't of gone better.
