Why Did You Hurt Me

Rilye's POV
"Your a worthless piece is trash who will never amount to anything" he shouted.
I was shoved up against a locker in my middle school. I was trying to scream, but his hand was over my mouth. His face held an expression of pure hatred, I was terrified. I had no one to help me, everyone was in class while I was being shoved in my locker.
I was defenseless against him he was twice my size, I just had to except I was alone in this battle. He just locked my locker door looks like another tardy "don't ever forget that either everyone will become great and you'll be on the side of the streets beging for handouts" he said walking back to class.

I woke up again I've had the same nightmare every night for eight years. I looked at myself I was drenched in sweat as usual. I haven't seen him since I was in highschool and I was glad about that I could never look at him without feeling my heart rip in two. I looked at my clock next to my bed it was five thirty might as well get up and take a shower. I thought as I swung my leg over the side of my bed. I got my shower and got ready for work I put on my dress suit, grabbed a muffin and left a note for Maya. Who lived with me she will probably be sleeping in since she doesn't have work today.

I hopped into my jaguar and left I was there in a matter of minutes since traffic was good this morning. I parked my car and walked in "hello miss Mathews." said some of my employees  I said hi and walked to the elevator. I got to the top and was immediately greeted by my assistant mark. "Miss Mathews you have a meeting at four with the investors, lunch with Mr. Akima at twelve and a dinner with your parents at six." Thank you mark I said as I walked to my office.

I walked towards the window to look at new York like I did every morning to remind myself that he was wrong and I do amout to something and that is, the CEO of my company mathews and heart co. I sat down at my desk and looked at the paperwork I had a few events I had to speak at I go to a lot of these because I'm only 23 and I own and run a multi million dollar corporation. I love to go and inspire young people to make the best of life and work hard to achieve there goals. I finished all the paperwork no sooner than I did mark came in and said it was already time to head to lunch to meet Mr.akima. we got into my car and left he always comes with me to take notes and help me make decisions.

We pulled up to the resturant I parked and walked in with mark following me. I walked in and told the waitress who we were with and she lead us to the table Mr.akima sat across from me mark was next to me there was an empty seat next to Mr.akima he was a short bald Japanese man . "my assistant will be here shortly he had to get some papers I forgot so why don't we go ahead and order." He said Of course Mr .akima I replied we all gave our order to the waitress just as she left I excused myself and went to the bathroom.

I walked out of the restroom and saw him sitting at the table talking to mark I felt my heat rip I was about to cry but I had to get back to lunch. So I put on a smile and sat at the table Mr.akima said "oh miss Mathews this is my assistant Lucas fryer" i know we have met before we were in school together I replied. "What a small world" he said "hello Riley."  "hello Lucas" I said his name as if spitting out venom. We did not talk the rest of lunch all he did was take notes and stare at me. When we finished I got up with mark to walk out.

"Wait Riley " he called I was in no mood to talk to him "Riley please wait" he said catching up to me. What Lucas I shouted thankfully no one heard. " I wanted to apologise for how I acted in school and I hope we can be friend again."  "Yeah sure Lucas I would love to." I said sarcastically "yeah when pigs grow wings and fly."  "Come on Riley your still caught up on that it was eight years ago"he said. Yes Lucas I am I can't forget about that I have had nightmares about that every night for eight years I spat out. " your kidding" he said "no Lucas I'm not you can ask Maya and she still hasn't forgot neither and farkle hasn't forgotten what you did to him. " "OK I was a jerk I get that but I'm sorry." He said "You know what Lucas I don't have time for this I've got a meeting with my investors in thirty minutes so if you please I have to go." I said turning around and walking away "Wait please" he called "no Lucas" I said and walked back to my car this day is going "great".
