Riley's POV
We pulled up to Aphrodite's and waited for my parents which was only a matter of minutes. We got out and said hi and walked in I saw a boy standing at the door he looked familiar but I brushed it off. " hello welcome to Aphrodite's reservation please" the hostess said with a huge smile Matthew's table for five I said to the hostess " right this way miss Matthew's we were seated at a table in front of a huge window that shows the huge garden in the back of the restaurant.

" so hon how work going" asked my dad it is going great I just got a new investor and I'm going to the Caribbean next week to meet with one of my other investors. " oh that is great honey" said my mom thanks mom I replied and auggie how's it going with Ava they had been "dating" sense he was six it was so cute even though mom didn't like her. " we broke up " he replied flatly why Augie I thought you two were so cute together " well Erin Mitchell think they look cute together to." So she cheated on you I questioned " yep she sure did but to be honest she was a spoiled brat" he replied sounding allitle annoyed
" Yes she was honey and she doesn't deserve my handsome little man" said mom who was obviously over joyed about him breaking up with her.

" why hello there nice to see you again its been awihle" I turned to see my best friend from college Derek oh my god Derek how where did you come from "I just moved here and how about you miss CEO of Matthew and heart co. Yeah I know and what about you I'm a millionaire now I sold ten different programs to dell and apple so I'm basically set for life." Well good for you mabey we can get together sometime I said " yeah that be great here" he said handing me a slip of paper ok I'll text you later. " well see ya" he said before walking off " ooooh Riley has a boyfriend " said auggie Yeah I have a guy friend big whoop I reply.

"Riley" I heard a familiar voice call me I turn and ugggggh what size he want now " what is he doing here" asked Maya I don't know " hey Riley what's up" he asked besides me trying to avoid you and have dinner with my family not much I said in a sarcastic voice.

"You" I turned to see my dad an angry expression on his face " hello sir" this isn't gonna be good I thought " don't hello sir me you have some nerve talking to my daughter after all you did to her." He said his fists were balled up as if he was ready to punch him. " I'd leave now ranger rick unless you want me and him to give you some new bruises or another black eye to show off." I lookedbup and noticed his black eye Yeah I wouldn't mind that at all I said with a smirk appearing on my face " yeah as much as I would loooove that I just came to ask Riley something in private." I was a little worried so I did the first thing that popped into my mind I text Derek and ask him to follow me. He said he would and we walked outside to the garden. What did you want to ask me I said slightly annoyed. "I was hoping that you would go out with me." Ha you have got to be kidding me I said " aww come on Riley I know you liked me in middle school" he was getting closer to me I was starting to feel uncomfortable when I heard " Riley oh there you are babe oh who is this" it was Derek he came just at the right time oh this is Lucas I said " oh you mean that jerk who bullied you and your friend in school" yes thats him " oh well this is for hurting her" he said befor punching him in the jaw. "Ok I think we should get back they just brought out the food" Derek said facing me yeah let's head back in I said leaving Lucas there holding his jaw in shock. Thanks for that I said " its fine I have no problem being your boyfriend." Oh really I said I hoped he was serious I had a crush on him by the second year of college but I didn't think he felt the same I mean who would I'm a plain girl. While he is gorgeous he has black hair which is always styled he usually dresses in lots of suits and dressy clothing he was tan and muscular and he has piercing blue eyes wich I could stare at for hours. " Riley Riley " I was pulled out of my thoughts he was standing in front of me his eyes looking straight into mine my heart was pounding and my mind was screaming kiss him. Yes I slowly said as I noticed he was leaning closer my eyes closed as I felt his lips in mine I immediately kissed back my heart was racing I had waited so long for this and I was loving every second of it. We soon pulled apart he looked at me and smiled "so as I was saying would you go out with me?" I would love to Derek but I should get back to my family but I'll call you later OK. " OK but before you go" he said leaning in and giving me another kiss we pulled apart by Derek I said walking away " by ryels" he said waving. I was so happy I forgot all about Lucas as I walked in I noticed they had brought out our food I sat down next to Maya and ate. We didn't talk much while we were eatimg I guess everyone was thinking about lucas after we finished I said good bye to y family and me and Maya left all the way home I was thinking about why Lucas asked me out I thought he hated me. I just pushed those thoughts away and thought about Derek. I hope I can finally forget Lucas but not was I wrong it would only make it harder for me to forget him.
