We had just got out of the movies when my phone rung I quickly answered the phone and said hello " hello is this Riley Matthews?" The man said in the phone yes and who is this? " I am doctor Nicholas of the saint judes hospital, and I am calling to let you know that your freind a Lucas freir was in an acident and is in critical condition." He said in a calm voice fear rushed over me uhhh I stuttered I'll be there in a few minutes I said hanging up. " what is it riley?" Asked Maya Lucas was in a wreck he is in critical condition we need to go now I said quickly before running to my car and hoping in and speeding off. I raced to the hospital and parked my car like a mad woman in the first space I saw before darting into the hospital I ran up to the front desk and told the last who i was looking for she said he was on the eighth floor room 209 I quickly got on the elevator and ran to his room and immediately stoped when I saw him. He was pale as the white sheets on his bed, he was in a neck brave and had a cast on his leg and both arms and he had gauze around his head he also had ivs in his arm with his eyes closed he looked to be sleeping. " hello are you mrs.Matthews? " said someone behind me I tired to see a very handsome man who looked to be about twenty-five he was tall and had black hair and icy blue eyes. Yess I a.m i stuttered trying to hold back tears " ok I'm doctor Nicholas we spoke on the phone." Yes I remember I said finnaly breakimg down and letting the tears fall down my face. " ahhh it's ok." He said hugging me what happened I asked " he was hit by a drunk driver and his car flipped." He said not letting go of me after afew minutes i stopped crying and he let go " um Mrs. Matthews I need to ask if you would happen to have mr.freirs parents or guardians number would you his phone is broke and we only had yours because it was written on a note pad in his pocket. " he stated yes I do actually. I said I stayed close to his mom over the years. Would you like me to call her ? I asked him " if you don't mind that would be great." He said it is fine I don't mind I said. " Thank you now if you'll excuse me i have to go check on mr.freir." he said before walking back to his Lucas room then I got my phone out and dialed his mom's number and waited for her to answer " hello this is annie." His mom said hello Mrs freir this is Riley Matthews. I said " oh hello Riley what can I do for you." She said sweetly um mrs.freir I've got some bad news.. Lucas was hit by a drunk driver driving home and his car flipped over and now he is in the hospital in critical condition with two broke legs a broke neck, arm and he has som kind of head injury he looks pretty rough I said as calm as I could. " on my Gosh what hospital?" She said saint judes hospital I said " I'll be ther soon Riley bye." She said before hanging up I put my phone up and turend to go s Maya and farkle standing behind me what took so long I asked " you didn't tell us wich hospital." Said farkle oh soory guys I was just worried " so how is he?" Asked Maya I'll show you I said walking to his room with them following behind me. " oh my gosh." Said Maya as she walked in she quickly turend to me and said "dose his mom know?" Yeah I was calling her when you guys found me and she is on her way now soon enough we heard the door open and in came mrs.freir " oh my gosh my baby." She said rushing up to his bed side and tears were clearly visible in her grayish blue eyes the same eyes that I saw when I looked at Lucas. She sat down next to him and grabed his hand he was still unconscious and his body lump ai felt the set tears roll down my face as I looked at him so weak and broken. I sat there trying to hide my tears from everyone but farkle noticed and came and sat with me on the couch were I was seated I looked at my phone it was eleven oclock and soon his doctor came in and said he had some news for us he said " well for starters he should be fine but ...... but there is a possibility thqt the head injury he got can cause him to go into a coma, and if he doesn't Wake up by tommow then out suspicions will be confirmed and we will move him to the trauma center until he wakes up again. but the problem is that while he is in a coma he could be out for a day to a few months so I just wanted to let you guys know." He fineshed and walked out of the room as soon as I heard that I broke down and so did his mother. I got some comfort from farkle and Maya but they had to leave because farkle was going to help Maya set up an art gallery she was hosting tomorrow so I stayed at the hospital with Mrs.freir I didn't sleep the show night all I could think of was Lucas why him.
