Years Later...

Alex's P.O.V...

"Alex, I'm so happy for you." Jack said, handing me a gift bag. I smiled at him. "Ah, thank you Jack! I missed you so much." I said, hugging him. Marshal walked over to us.

"Congratulations." Jack said, patting Marshal's shoulder. There was one thing missing. Bethany. She's not here anymore. But she would've enjoyed this. "Aye, look who came to the party." Elaine said, holding a cardboard. She turned it around.

"Oh my god, you didn't. Thank you." I said, laughing a little. It's a cardboard cutout of Bethany. She knows how badly I wished Beth would come but she passed. So, I suppose this is it. "This is nice." Jack said.

There was one thing left. The letter stuffed in my dress. The letter Bethany had written to me, the one I got after her suicide. I promised to open it, when I got married. And well, now I need to open it.

"I need a moment, babe and guys. I'll be back." I said.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Lei said to me. My baby. She's 7 years old and looks like her father. She's so gorgeous. "Yes?" I asked her. She took my hand and followed me. I pulled the paper out of my dress and opened it.

Dear Alex,
I know how you didn't want me to go. I'm so sorry. I owed you my entire life. This is a few months after my suicide. Why are you getting it now? Because I had written this way before my suicide. I gave them to someone. Letting them know to give this to you, months after I had gone away. I'm assuming they did. Oh my god, I hope you have such an amazing life. I bet you and Marshal are going to graduate and get married. And be happy. You're going to have kids and live. You're going to be so happy. I promise that I love you. I know how much you love Marshal, and I know he loves you. I never really got to know what love was so, I'd never know how it feels. Smile for me. Keep this safe and remember that you're the best. I love you.
-Beth.

I smiled, wiping a tear that fell from my eye. "Mommy? What is that?" She asked, pointing at the paper in my hands. I closed it and looked at her. "It's a letter from one of my friends." I said. She looked confused.

"She's not here anymore. But she gave me this. Anyway, let's go back to the party. I need to dance with your dad." I said, picking her up. She giggled and poked my cheek. "Mommy, you look really pretty." She said to me. I smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Now, it's time for the husband and wife's first dance. Please come to the dance floor Alex and Marshal." I heard. I set Lei down and walked to the dance floor. The lights were dimmed and a slow song started playing. He placed his arms around me and so did I.

The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra

Some day, when I'm awfully low

When the world is cold

I will feel a glow just thinking of you

And the way you look tonight

I smiled at him and lied my head on his shoulder. This is the perfect night. Nothing will ever beat this. I feel amazing tonight. Knowing that I'm spending my life with him, makes me feel alright.

I won't lose him. Won't lose one more person. He is the love of my life and I wouldn't change him for anything in this world. This is the life I dreamed to have. He's everything I've ever wanted and everything I have.

"Is it cliché to say we're infinite?" He asked, looking down at me. I pressed my lips on his. The song ended now, everyone cheered. I was really happy. I am. I'm really happy. And I will continue to be. "A little." I said. He dropped his arms and grabbed one of my hands. "Who cares, I'll say it anyway." He said.

"We're infinite." We both said.
