19. Stefan

You and Stefan have been friends for a while and he confesses his love for you by trying to protect you.

"I swear Stefan if you don't let me go-" I say running down the stairs of the Salvatore house.

Stefan grips onto my arms trying to hold me down from passing through him, "It is too dangerous Y/N, if you come with me, you're the first one to die." He snaps at me.

Stefan was going to be in danger, I have to be around him. He is my best friend and I'm scared that something will happen to him. Yes, I am human but their is nothing stopping me from going with him.

"Does it look like I care Stefan?" I snap and him quickly pushing him to the side and jogging my way to the front door.

Stefan sprints in front of me, "But I do!" He snaps again looking at Bonnie and nods. Then he turns around sprinting out of the door.

I groan making my way to the front door as I bump into an invisible shield. I turn around looking at Bonnie, "Are you kidding me?"

The whole time that I was trapped inside the house, I just kept thinking if my best friend is okay, hurt or even killed. I care too much about Stefan for him just to leave like that, it kind of hurts. I'm sitting in the couch fiddling with my phone with my fingertips to just wait for a text or a call from Stefan. It's almost been an hour hearing nothing from him, my head is spinning, my stomach are turning into knots.

"Y/N, he'll be okay. You can't have negative thoughts flowing through your mind, think positively." Bonnie said rubbing my arm softly.

I look up at her and nodded quickly, she was right. I can't think about the negativity, Stefan needs me to be positive about what he is doing. I stand up from the couch and started walking towards the staircase, "I'm gonna sleep it off."

Bonnie nodded watching me leave the living room.

I walk up the stairs, then started to walk down the hallway making my way towards Stefan's room. I finally reach it and grab the handle of the door knob turning it, and opening the door walking in. I sigh escapes my lips as I walk towards his bed, sit on the edge of the bed and kick off my shoes. I climb up to the pillows and rest my head on his side of the bed. I look up at the ceiling slowly closing my eyes until I hear my phone ring.

I quicky grab it and see "Stefan" on the caller ID. I sit up quickly sliding the answer button, "Stefan are you okay?" I say quickly hoping everything is alright.

"Yes I am, it was intense, but we got through it Y/N..." Stefan says in his soft comforting voice, I knew that tone in his voice that things went okay.

I sigh in relief as I run my fingers through my hair, "Oh thank God." I let out a laugh.

Stefan chuckles through the phone, "I'm sorry I overreacted earlier it's just..."

"It's just what?"

"Because I love you. Not as best friends, but as someone I adore, care about, and worry something will happen to my best friend I fell in love with." Stefan said simply.

I raise an eyebrow and bit onto my lower lip not expecting him to say that at all, "I love you." I say softly meaning it, I also fell for him. I wouldn't have no reacted they way I did earlier if I didn't love him...
