9. Stefan

You were marked by the vampire hunter, and you have to leave Stefan or let the hunter kill you.

I drive into Mystic Falls quickly, everything was destroyed, abandoned, it's a ghost town now. I have no sign of Stefan or anyone that is in danger right now by this newly, strong vampire hunter. She has a sword that connects into the phoenix stone, if she drives the sword into your heart, your soul will be trapped in that stone, creating your own personal hell. If she doesn't stab you all the way, you are left with the hunters mark, she will try and run after you to kill you, once she finally gets you, she moves on to the next. She will not stop looking for the marked one.

I stop the car in the middle of the town square, I get out the car looking around. "Stefan!?" I say clearly as my eyes wonder around.

I see Matt running towards me in his uniform, "Y/N you have to go now. She's around here someone." He says quickly gripping onto my arms.

I shake my head pulling away, "I am not leaving Stefan behind, where is he?" I snap at Matt not wanting him to tell me what to do.

Matt shakes his head, "Stefan told me to tell you to leave, far away from here. The hunter will get any vampire on sight." He says frustratedly trying to persuade me to leave town, I'm not leaving Stefan. We've been by our sides for centuries, and we plan on going on for centuries more.

I groan gripping onto Matt's neck with my hand as my fangs appear, "I will rip your throat out with my fangs Matt, tell me where is my damn boyfriend?" I say opening my mouth ready to sink my fangs into his neck.

Matt gasps gripping onto my hand, "My-Mystic Grill."

I quickly let go of Matt as I sprint towards Mystic Grill, I barge into the doors seeing Stefan and Damon talking and trying to make a plan about the vampire hunter. "Stefan." I say softly quickly walking up to him.

Stefan turns around sighing in relief as he walks towards me as well, "You're okay, thank god." He said pulling me into a tight hug. Then he pulls away gripping onto my cheeks leaning in quickly placing a tender kiss on my lips.

"Enough, we're all in serious danger. Valerie and the other heretics are in the back room trying to do some juju to get rid of the crazy hunter. " Damon says, butting into me and Stefan's 5 second embrace.

I pull away rolling my eyes, "Does it look like I care now, we're leaving. Just me and Stefan, including you." I say to Damon as I frown slightly. I knew I had to bring Damon along with me and Stefan's journey, they are brothers I can't leave the other one behind.

Damon gives me a look and nodded slowly, "Let's go then."

Stefan rubs my shoulder and nods as well agreeing.

All of a sudden, Rayna, the vampire hunter jumps into the window of Mystic Grill holding her sword in her hand. She groans loudly running up to the closest vampire she will drive her sword into.

Stefan grabs me by the waist throwing me to the side, I groan falling onto the floor with Stefan beside me.

Damon grabs a chair throwing a chair at the hunter causing her to fall to the ground.

"Damon go now!" Stefan says to Damon as he helps me from the ground.

I sprint towards the shattered window grabbing a sharp piece of glass, I quickly walk over to the Rayna standing above her. I frown holding onto the glass, I lift it up then she suddenly gets her sword lifting it up as well. Then she suddenly stabs my shoulder causing me to quickly stop her with my hands, I pull the point of the sword away as I lift my leg up kicking her face with my boot hard.

Rayna goes unconscious still tightly holding the sword.

"Y/N" Stefan said softly.

I look down at my left shoulder seeing the mark form, my jaw drops slightly feeling the burning sensation on my shoulder seeing the mark right through my cardigan. I turn around as tears starts to form in my eyes, "Stefan..."

Stefan shake his head quickly walking up to me, "No no no you're not going through this alone. Me and Damon will protect you, we'll do whatever it takes to keep you alive and take her ass down."

I quickly pull away from him stepping back, "I'm not going to let you and Damon risk your life just for me." I say softly looking up at him, I reach my hand up to Stefan's cheek stroking it softly, "I love you deeply and I always will."

Stefan looks away from me and looks at Damon, Damon nods slowly agreeing to let me go. Then he looks back at me, "I'm so sorry Y/N."

I nodded at Damon, I look back at Stefan. I lean up placing a soft kiss on his lip, I pull away grabbing his hands, "I can do this. I'll find you soon my love..." I whisper to him. It's going to be hard to let him go, but it is the right thing to do to keep the love of my life safe, and his brother...

"I love you Stefan. Keep care of him Damon, keep care of each other. Goodbye..."
