Jays POV:

I akwardly walked up to Evangelin not knowing exactly what to say, she was pushing a book cart loaded with books carefully avoiding any body that passed. She delicately stacked books in some shelves like they were each delicate pieces of glass. I stood behind her not knowing exactly what to do, I was taller than her she was at chin level. I looked at Mrs Oli- I mean Liv she was now stacking books in the first isle,I gave her an unsure look she mouthed 'tap her' as she wildly made hand gestures.

She can be a little wacky some times.

I gathered up some courage and tapped her on her shoulder, she turned her face a slightly to see who it was. When she saw me she returned to what she was doing like I was just some insignificant piece of shit.

Well that took a shot to my ego.

I tried my luck again, I walked in front of her trying to muster a smile.
"Hello I-" before I could say anything else she pushed the cart past me to another section.

If you haven't noticed, I suck at talking to girls.

"Heyy," I said a little louder so there was no way she'd say she didn't hear me, and that's when she snapped.

"What the hell do you want! Can't you see I'm busy here, I don't care if this a prank or anything I'm not in the mood." And that's when I snapped.

"I just wanted to talk, you didn't have to be so bitchy about it," Well there's one thing I learnt from this encounter; we're both ticking time bombs.

"Sorry but I just don't want to talk to a bumbling air head who can't even take a hint," she spat. Take a hint?

"Bumbling? Air head? For your information I have a 4.1 GPA," I said with an air of pride.

"Awe how cute, I have a 4.5," damn this girl is good. She began to walk away and I wasn't going to let our little discussion end like that. I walked behind her firing some of my comebacks, I didn't notice when she stopped so I bumped into her forcefully. The impact made the cart roll with speed to the first shelve, unlike other libraries the shelves weren't bolted to the ground. We watched in horror as it creaked, swayed and went tumbling down, we heard some one scream where the shelf had fallen. We rushed over to see Liv under the piles of books and the shelf, quick question are legs meant to bend the other way................

Yah that's what I thought.

Now students were panicking, some called 911 while others ran to get the nurse. I turned to Evangelin who looked utterly terrified, I've never seen anyone look so scared I'm my life. I can't even use words to describe how scared she looked.

__________
The ambulance didn't take long to arrive, the sounds of the sirens overshadowed all noise in school, in five minutes we where at the emergency room. People where freaking out teachers, family even students, Evangelin sat at the far end corner in the waiting room not moving or saying anything. I watched as students glared at her and gave her dirty looks, some murmuring and throwing insults at her. That's how I found myself sitting in the principals office with Evangelin re watching a security tape while the principal was signing and arranging papers on his table. I watched my my leg jump not knowing what to do or say or think, I don't think it bothered Evangelin, suddenly the principal cleared his throat.

"Well after the events that occurred today and the security tape we can safely say that this was an accident, so you two aren't in trouble and Mrs Oli- I mean Liv isn't pressing any charges. The doctors say she'll be fine her leg's just broken and she has to rest and take it easy for a few weeks. We've arranged for some one to take her place so the library wouldn't have to shut down, and that's where you two come in," I saw Evangelin sit up a little- well this is getting interesting.
"You two will man the library after school, lock up and clean up, arrange books, stack books,"
