Hospital Horror

Evangelins POV:
Today I woke up very happy, literally I was smiling when I woke up. I woke up early so I had enough time to take a relaxing bath, make a filling breakfast and nothing burned or spilled this time. Honestly I'm proud of myself, I went up to my room to get dressed my clothes were already spread out on my bed. The usual long sleeved shirt, jeans, sneakers and hoodie nothing new; after zipping up my hoodie I stared at myself in the mirror like I was expecting something else.

"You should stop wearing hoodies, you look happy and......... unique."

Skipping my hoodie for a day won't kill me, it's like 100 things to do before high school, change your look day. So I wore a black long sleeved t-shirt and jeans, I looked at myself in the mirror terrified of how people would react, they've never really seen me with out my hoodie. So I'm sure people would be asking 'hey, who's the new girl?' 'does she go to this school?' 'maybe she's lost'.

Don't worry Evangelin you can do this, you can do this, you can do this.

I slung my back pack over my shoulder as I walked to the door, I stared at my helpless innocent hoodie lying on my bed.

Instead of abandoning it here all alone I could take it with me, it wouldn't hurt. So I tied it around my waist and ran to school.

You can do this Evangelin.

School wasn't as I expected people stared but in a different way, a girl and her friend actually complimented me she told me she loved my hair it's wild and curly. I even got wolf whistles from some guys walking down the hallway, I was happy and embarrassed at the same time.

The best part is the janitor said there was an opening for a locker, apparently the reciever in our schools volleyball team for girls is moving to France for some reason I don't really care about. So I get to have my locker near other students and I was more than ecstatic.

But what made me anxious was the girl I saw with Jay she looked at me with an unusual expression.

Is that his girlfriend? He never told me he had a girlfriend.

Wait why do I care?

But the rest of the day was great classes were interesting and fast, I wonder who owns the lockers beside me. I hope they won't freak out and give me the cold shoulder.

Nothing could ruin my day.

As I made my way down the stairs to my next class. I didn't notice there was a back pack in the middle of the stairs, I tripped and I tumbled down, I landed face flat on the floor all the contents of my bag pack spilling out and the worst part is when I tried to stand I couldn't. It hurt like hell.

I think I twisted my ankle.

Jays POV:
After telling Lily what happened in excruciating detail she complained that I never tell her anything then she looked at me all goofy like then she hopped squealed in excitement - that girl is so bipolar. When she calmed down she looked at me with a goofy smile.
"It's so awesome you like someone, even though it's the cursed girl in school."

"No, I don't like her", I stated simply.

"Oh come on, you spend every single day with her, I see the way you smile at her. It's written all over your face", she said matter-of-factly.

"What are you talking about? I'm just being friendly", I stated trying to defend myself.

"Mmmhh," she said and folded her arms like those sassy women on TV shows.

"Oh well," she said. Wait is she letting this slide? she never let's anything slide. Lily is a very inquisitive person, she wouldn't rest until she got all the information she desired and she'd only let it go if she already had all the facts or a plan.

"Okay to make it up to you for not telling you and not being around," I tried to change the subject "lets have a movie night, tonight, at my place. You can watch any movie you want and I'll make caramel popcorn with chocolate dipping", it's Friday so why not spend it with someone I care about.

I already know we're watching 'The Last Song' again. I'm sick of that movie we've watched it twelve times, she's a little obsessed with Hemsworth it's just a chessy chick flick.

Ugh girls.

And caramel with chocolate dipping is our special snack, we invented it as kids when we were experimenting with food. It was a little bit nasty at first but we learned to like it.

She pulled me into a tight hug and let go.
"See this is why you're my best friend, see ya at seven", with that she waved goodbye and ran to her class.

Well school dragged on as usual, the tests, the lessons, the constant blabbing. This was my last class for the day so after this it's off to the library.

When I got there I was surprised to see to see Eva already there, the last period of the day literary ended a minute ago.
"When did you get here?" I questioned placing my bag beside the long bench.

"A few hours ago, I didn't have anything important to do so I decided to come here", she said averting my gaze.

"Eva, is anything wrong?" I asked inquisitively.

"No nothing's wrong, everything is A-Okay, I'm just peachy, I've never felt better", okay now I know she's lying. When she lies she tends to ramble and she's a terrible liar in general.

"Well if you're A-Okay, we have to pick up the new books the school ordered for the library. We have to count, clean, bar code and stack it", I lied waiting to see her reaction.

She looked at me as if thinking of a way to get out of this when she replied with a fake smile "Sure let's go."
She stood up and walked slowly trying not to put any weight on her right foot, then she fell forward but I caught her before she hit the ground.

"Eva do you mind explaining to me what happened?" I said with urgency in my voice.

"I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle", I could see a faint shade of pink stained on her cheeks.

"I have to take a hospital, I can call my brother to t-"

"No!", she shouted her eyes filled with fear.
"P-please no, d-don't take me there. Please please I-I can't go back there,"she tried to take a few steps away from me but she lost balance and fell on her butt, she winced as she tried to push herself away from me.

I walked over to her kneeling in front of her and grabbed her shoulders "Eva please calm down, okay I won't take you to the hospital let's go to the nurse instead," I pleaded. But she screamed "No! please no don't take me there," tears started streaming down her face and her breath was jagged.

I think she's having a panic attack.

"Eva please calm down, you have to go to a hospital your ankle might be broken", I begged desperately. I've never seen her like this, so broken and terrified, something bad must have happened to her in the past to make her act this way.

"N-no! N-no hospital, p-please n-no", she kept repeating this same sentence. She started hyperventilating she turned pale like all the life was being sucked out of her and she was ice cold.

Then she fainted.

QUESTION: How about Lily, I know she hasn't been a main character but she'll soon be.

Also I won't update in a while, exams are coming up and I got to study.
