Ch. 7 Pax east part 2

Noble and Taylor have been talking for a long time. They've really clicked. She got his number and everything.

It's almost 3:30 and I haven't seen Chad since Taylor asked if we were dating. I hope he's alright..

I call Chad and he doesn't answer. Maybe he's already at his panel getting ready. I walk over to the panel. There are a lot of people here that are going to watch!
A girl walks up to me. She seems to be about 17.
"Hey, aren't you the girl Chad really likes?"
"W-what? No? I'm just his..uh..neighbor."
She laughs. "You must not know. Chad talks about you a lot during his streams. He's head over heels for you. Where is he?"
My mouth is agape. I don't even know what to say.
"I..I don't know where he is. I called him and he didn't answer."
"Oh. Well maybe he's busy getting ready for the panel. It's about to start. I sit in the front row, you can sit next to me if you want."
"I..uh sure. Thanks.."
I'm so unsure about all of this. Chad talks about me?

"Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Chadtronic and welcome to the Pillowtalk Panel!" We hear Chad say. "Basically this is my first convention and I want to answer any questions you guys have!"
He doesn't see me in the crowd. He kinda looks like he's..forcing himself to be happy.
Many fans ask him questions.
Then this came up.
"Chad, did you give her the ring yet?"
R-ring..? For..what..?
"Um no. I don't know what I did. But I really embarrassed myself earlier with her and I might back out in giving it to her.."
I heard a lot of "Chad no!" And "do it!" And "I ship it so hard."
My head is spinning. I gotta get out of here.
I get up and walk away quickly.
"Oh god Erin.." I hear Chad say. I hear running from behind me and I get turned around to see Chad.
"What the hell is going on Chad?" I manage to say. "I'm so confused..and..I just don't know."
"Erin I'm so sorry. I've been waiting a while to give you this. But.." He pulls out a box. Oh god. Is he fricking asking to marry me? We haven't even dated?!?!
"I want you to have this." He opens the box. It's a beautiful ring with a heart. In the heart is an aquamarine gem. It's so beautiful. My mouth drops.
"Erin, I promise to always be there for you. Yes, this is a promise ring. I also would like to ask you.."
My head is spinning. I'm smiling so hard, there's even tears in my eyes. It's so beautiful!
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I hear the entire audience say Aww. I smile even bigger.
"Yes of course Chad!" The audience cheers. He hugs me tight and puts the promise ring on my finger. It's so beautiful, and shiny. He takes my hand and walks back up onto stage.
"So..now that that happened. Any more questions?"
He answers a lot more. He plays a few games then ends the panel.

Everyone leaves then Noble and Taylor walk up to us...holding hands.
"Aww!" I say. "You two are so cute! I knew you'd like each other!"
"Same for you two.." Noble says, nodding his head towards my ring.
Chad turns his head to look at me and smiles. He looks into my eyes for a while, kisses my cheek, then looks away.
Noble turns to us. "Do you guys want to go out to dinner with me and Taylor? We're going to Kentucky fried chicken. (So fancy.)
"Sure!" I say. Oh wait. "Wait Chad is that okay?"
"Whatever you want, I'm okay with it."

We all head to KFC and eat our chicken. We all make jokes and laugh and catch up with each other. It was a great time. Eventually we finish and Tay and Noble leave.

Chad drives us to the hotel. We get into our room and there's only one bed. Ohhhkaaayyy then. I get into my pajamas and flop into bed. Gosh it's been such a long and great day. I admire my ring, then take it off and put it on the nightstand next to me. Chad comes out of the bathroom and gets into bed.
"Thank you." He says. I'm confused.
"For what?"
"Not overlooking me, and not thinking I'm one of those "stupid Youtubers that do it just for the money.""
"Chad. I never looked at your YouTube channel and subscriber, and money count to like you. I like you because of your personality. You're super random, but super sweet at the same time." I smile and then yawn. He gets his NES pillow out and puts it under his head. He pulls me close and cuddles me.
"Thank you Erin."
"Night night Chad."

"Goodnight beautiful."
