After heading home and performing my usual collapse in bed, someone knocked on my door. I sighed in annoyance and got up, crossing my apartment and opening the door. "What do you want?"
Oliver stood in front of me in his Arrow outfit. He gave me a small smile. "Hello Skye," his voice was much deeper than it should have been.
I reached with a small pop and pulled the voice changer out of his hood. "You do not need this in my apartment. Now you can come in."
Oliver slipped passed me and walked over to my couch without a word. He sat down and watched me flop down in a recliner. He continued to stay silent. We stared at each other.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "What did you come for?"
Oliver looked away, gazing out the window. "I..." he grimaced. "I need your help."
I leaned back and smiled in satisfaction. "I'm glad you're admitting it. With what?"
"We're going after a man who's an... excellent... shot with boomerangs." He tossed me a bag. "Very deadly boomerangs."
"Cool," I studied the metal boomerang in the bag carefully.
Oliver shot me a reproachful look. "That isn't what I expected you to say."
"Sorry," I handed him the boomerang. "I sound like Cisco."
Oliver scratched his neck. "Well... if you ever... need my help with anything..."
I felt a smile creep onto my face. "Oliver, why are you being so awkward?"
Oliver stood up hastily. "I'll let you get some sleep. See you later."
I smirked after him, tossing the voice changer up and catching it. I wondered if he'd notice if I just ran up and put it back. I decided not to and threw it at him instead. He turned with an annoyed look on his face, but stopped when he realized what had hit him. He picked it up and left.
I shot back over to my bed and flopped down. Falling asleep almost instantly.
The next morning I jumped out of bed and changed straight into my Spark gear. I was amazed that I had woken up naturally rather than waking up because of my phone. Just after I finished that thought, and I'd slipped my phone into one of my pockets, it vibrated. I sighed and pulled it out.
Cisco: Come here. Preferably now.
Again, Cisco's seriousness surprised me and also made me a little nervous. I ran out my door, almost crashing into a group of people on their way down the hall. They all turned as I shot by and I could hear them shouting in surprise.
I flung open the doors to the Cortex. "What's happened to sarcastic Cisco?" I demanded the instant I'd stopped moving.
Caitlin looked up. "He's not here. A little attached to the suit huh?"
"Where'd he go?"
Caitlin frowned at me. "I don't know! He hasn't even shown up."
I looked around one last time and ran back out the door, texting Cisco at the same time. Where are you man?
I ran to the next most likely place I could find Cisco, the tech shop. Not a trace of him, though the man behind the counter stared at me when I stopped in the center of the small room. I shot away again, checking my phone.
Cisco: The runway. Barry's already here.
Runway... runway... I turned right, vaulting over a car that had stopped in front of me.
