"Okay. Explain further," Shayera snapped. "I have a person nobody can kill looking for me. Why? Why should I believe you?"

"Because he's after me too," Hawkman said. "If you come with me we might be able to hold him off longer than I could on my own."

"I was never meant to fight on my own," I sang quietly. Everyone looked at me. "Sorry. Don't mind me. Carry on."

Cisco walked away from Shayera and sat down behind his the curved desk of computers. I almost followed him, but decided that my computer would be of more use to me than his would, so went that way instead.

Shayera absently spread her wings and folded them again, knocking the few items that were on the table onto the floor. "So you want me to go with you to fight an endless battle against a person who can't die?"

   "Yes."

"Great," I said, determined that, even if this person couldn't die, that I was going to help in any way I could. "When do we start chasing down his crazy person?"

"You cannot help us," Hawkman said. "You humans don't have enough strength to-"

"Try telling that to Buck and Steve why don't you?" Barry said, swinging his legs. "They've got to be the strongest guys on Earth."

I shook my head and noticed that Cisco had a sucker in his mouth. "Clark is- I'm not going to finish that and screw up his secret identity."

Cisco looked up and pulled the sucker out of his mouth. "Who's secret identity? How many superheroes do you know exactly?"

"Shall I list them for you?" I asked, completely joking, because I couldn't remember them all.

   "Yes please!" Cisco said eagerly.

"We're kind of in the middle of things right now Skye," Caitlin said. "Tell him later."

Cisco looked put out and I felt a little annoyed as well, but I also wanted to pay attention to everything else.

"They can hold up fine," Shayera said. "I've seen them fight against things that would kill a normal person. They heal fast too."

"I'm glad you noticed," Barry said. He looked over at me. "Skye, I was waiting for you to notice, but you really need to change. You look terrible in that right now."

I looked down and saw that the suit was in tatters again. I glanced up at Cisco. "I did not try. I swear."

Cisco grinned. "You got two meta-humans so I can hardly complain now can I?"

"That's never stopped you before," Barry muttered.

I got up, grabbed my clothes and ran off to change. I did it at normal speed this time, giving everyone else time to talk without my sarcasm 'helping'.

I walked at a leisurely pace back to the Cortex. About half way there, I came across Dr. Wells. He was turning like he was going to run into the wall. He looked at me in surprise. "Well hello Skye," he said pleasantly. "I thought you'd left."

"Nope. I felt like slowing down a bit." I looked at his wheelchair, which was still angled toward the wall. "Is your wheelchair broken? It looks like you're about to crash."

Dr. Wells glanced down at the wheels of he wheelchair. "No, I'm sure it's fine. Though I appreciate your concern." He smiled a little. "Shayera is just getting ready to leave. It was decided that she would accompany Hawkman to find Vandel."

"And I'm not going?" I felt disappointed at that realization. Shayera had become part of the team and a trustworthy friend in just over a day.
