OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BUTTON MY SKINNY JEANS!! Had I gained weight? I ran into the bathroom and jumped on the scale.
"Come on!" I yelled at it. The guys probably heard me yelling at an inanimate object, but I didn't care. The scale was taking so long! It wasn't digital. The little dial bounced back and forth. Finally, it stopped. One twenty three. I gained three pounds! NOO!!! I slapped my hand on the wall.
"Dammit!" I screamed. I heard people running up the stairs. It sounded like thunder.
"What's wrong Maddie!" David yelled.
Noah was in the bathroom first, David a close second, and Eric a distant third. Was Noah first because he was closest to the stairs? No, if I remembered, Noah was the farthest. So why was he first? Oh, I forgot, he likes me! I'm not sure how to treat that, so I'll keep pretending that I have no idea what is going on in the feelings world around me. I turned to them, leaning on the wall. All of their eyes stopped on my unbuttoned pants.
"What?" Noah questioned, eyebrows high on his forehead.
"I gained three pounds. Three!" I exclaimed. I pushed past them and went into my room. I flopped onto my bed, face down.
"So that was all because you gained three pounds?" Noah asked. I heard them shuffle uneasily to my bedroom door.
"Dude, don't underestimate it. Two sisters equals understanding them. This is like the end of the world for her. Or the end of her hotness." David explained. I heard him walking into my room, and he came and sat on the egde of my bed. "It's okay. Those pounds will come off so easily! And, if anything, they made your butt look even better." David said. It was strangely comforting. I turned so that I was laying on my back.
"You really have two sisters?" I asked. He nodded gravely. "They taught you well." I giggled. He laughed with me. I sat up, and looked at Noah and Eric. Noah was leaning on the door frame, looking like he thought we were all idiots, and Eric was peering in the room. "Now what do I wear?" I asked, propping myself up onto my elbows.
"Another part of girl world that I unproudly understand. Let me help you." David got up and looked through my closet. "Wait, why don't you wear your shorts anymore?" David asked.
"Because you can see my bandaids." I leaned my head on the wall next to my bed.
"Oh, yeah." He turned back to my closet. It took him a little while, but he was triumphant. He pulled out a white skirt that ended a little below my knees, and a dark blue tank top. The tank top didn't have spaghetti straps, they were two fingers wide. So the school would be okay with it. I didn't want to break the dress code and get another detention. The outfit was pretty. I never would have thought of it.
"Leave, she has to change." David shooed everyone out of the room. He shut the door behind him, and I quickly changed.
"Done." I called. The door reopened. David walked in first.
"Wow. You look... amazing. Doesn't she look amazing guys?!?!" David asked Noah and Eric. Eric was gaping, and Noah tried to look like he could care less. But there was something in his eyes, something that told me that he was lying about something. Oh well. Screw him.
"Thank you so much David. I'd be dead without you." I hugged him.
"We get it. Now, can we go? We're late." Noah blurted. I gave him my best death glare. He gave it right back. I rolled my eyes, and followed David out. Noah still stood in the door way, so I had to push past him. Eric followed right behind David, and it looked like Noah was going to wait until everyone was gone to follow.
"Ass." I hissed as I pushed him.
"Fattie." He said following me. I stopped dead in my tracks. I turned around slowly. Eric and David noticed that we weren't following them when they got to the stairs.
"What did you just say?" I slowly said. Noah's face faltered for a moment. Then he regained his composure, and put on his smirk.
"You heard me you cow." He said as he pushed past me. I guess that was my breaking point. I never understood why you would want to beat someone up for calling you a name, but now I get it. And I also get how you really do have adrenaline pump through you. I had run up behind the all cocky Noah, and jumped on his back. I started hitting his head, and he tried to grab my hands. We probably looked pretty funny, so that would explain Eric and David's laughter.
"Get off me!" Noah yelled.
"Take it back!" I screamed, hitting his face. He unfortunately grabbed onto my arms and pulled me off of him. He flipped me onto the ground, and held my hands above my head. He was kneeling beside me, but his face was really close. I could feel him warm breath on my neck. It made me shiver.
"Don't do that ever again." He calmly said. It was his calmness that scared me. His eyes were burning, and he heart was pumping. Just like mine. But he was calm. I was unsure, and that's what scared me.
"Or what?" I finally answered. Noah looked me up and down, taking his time answering me. It looked like he was checking me out, and my body felt tingly and warm under his gaze. I firmly told myself that I didn't like it, and these tingles were betraying my thoughts. Then he leaned really close and whispered into my ear.
"Or next time I won't be so calm." Then he pulled away, letting my hands go. The tingle was left, and I giggled a little. No, I didn't giggle. I didn't tingle. I was seething with rage. I was growling. I'm supposed to hate him. He couldn't care less about me, and he has made that perfectly clear. Even with this hate, I couldn't help but watch him go down the stairs. And may I say, that is a fine piece of ass right there.
Too bad I hate him. Well, maybe.. NO Maddie, you hate him! What are you doing? He is an idiot, a jerk, and.... a... butthead. But that buttheady idiotic jerk was HOT. Really Maddie? You are fighting with yourself and your loosing?!?! AND your being shallow? Seriously, suck it up. He is NOT that hot. Remember his personality. Remember his personality. REMEMBER HIS PERSONALITY!
Oh, what have I gotten myself into??
