I guess the shock of the things my mom told me didn't register until after i got to school.

I was greeted of course by Rena and Sky, who wasn't running late this morning. He explained yesterday that his pit bull, Lilly, was attacking the garbage men...again. OH Lilly, how i do love you. I mused in my head when  he told me yesterday.

Back to today i walk toward them and gave them a clearly distracted greeting as the Jace walked past and winked at me then continued up the steps to his Jock friends.

"wats  up girl" Rena cried out at me cheerfully. She was always so hyper and "wat up" for her was like saying how are you".

I grinned at her and replied

"Great!"

putting as much enthusiasim into that one word as i possibly could. My grin was pathetic and sky chose this time to point that out to me (rudely i might add)

"liar!" he said accussingly " We've been friends since 9th grade and to think that you would lie when obviously there is something going on up there!" he said tapping my head for emphasis. He leaned downand looked me in my eye.

His voice was playful and mocking but his eyes were serious and concerned. I sighed as loud, obnoxious, arragant,conceited, wait what was i ....oh yeah he is still an honest and caring friend that i knew i could always count on to be there for me and talk to about anything.

I grinned at him and gave him the " I'll tell you later look"hee answered me with a raise of his eyebrows. I shrugged and rolled my eyes. he grinned at me. Suddenly Rena let out a frustrated scream

.  We both looked at her in surprise.

She was looking at us " I cannot stand when you guys have those stupid silent conversations. First I feel left out second it's creepy" she shuddered and stalked away angrily ignoring the strange looks she was getting.

Sky rolled his eyes " I'll get her." and with that he followed her inside the school.

i sat out on the step s a little longer an got ready to pull out my ipod when suddenly a shadow stood over me. I ignored it thinking it would walk past me but it stayed there blocking the beautiful sun.

so i turned around and followed the semi- thin frame of some ripped levis and a tight vintage tee covering an unmistakably hard torso  up to the face of the handsome Jace Stone's grinning face."May I sit" he asked gesturing to the space beside me. I nodded and quickly scooted over.

Ugh I hate when i become all mute around him its sooo annoying. "So, what's up?" He asked as he sat down. he was so close. I could smell the wonderful natuarally fresh scent that he always seemed to have with him.

I shrugged and replied " It's cool."

He nodded looking down at the grass then his gaze snapped up to mine as though he remembered something looking with a strange intensity then he spoke after what seemed like ages.

" Remember when were little and you would always play at my house?' he asked.

I grinned at the memories" yeah,why?'

the question seemed random but i could tell he thought about it. he spoke seriously not dropping his gaze " why don't we hang out anymore?"

"we were the best of friends and i can't remember when we drifted apart or why for that matter. I still care about you you know that don't you?" he looked at me expectantly.
