ALLIES POV

I knew I should have been shaken about the encounter with ninja girl but I wasn’t. I was the opposite, completely pumped even though I’m pretty sure it was adrenaline from the fight and threating Jace’s girl and meeting up with Jace after school it was like I was everywhere and calm at the same time. It was completely surreal.

I had told Anison about the whole thing and surprisingly, he was worried. I thought he would be cool about it but he was pretty serious about it which he never was.

I guess our situation didn’t hit him until later. I made my way to class texting him and sat down next to Sky and for some reason I couldn’t stop smiling. I wondered how I was going to tell mom or if she would panic seeing as this had never happened before would she freak or be proud of me.

Suddenly, I didn’t feel so good. I was worried about my mom and if I fought right, if I should have let her get away. I sighed and put my head in my hands.

“What’s up buttercup? You walked in here smiling like the sun rose just for you and now you look devastated like you just lost your best friend but I’m right here.” He said with a smile. Trust him to know what to say to make me smile. I lifted my head with a weak smile.

“Thanks Sky, I’ll smile as long as you stop making awkward comparisons and being conceited.” He rolled his eyes.

“You wanna finish telling me what’s up with you?” I knew he was genuinely concerned and I nodded “I’ll tell you tomorrow cause it’s gonna take some time and I’m hanging out with Jace today.”

he seemed to accept that without putting up a fight sensing that I wasn’t in the mood for games anymore.

I smiled gratefully at him and class started and for as much as I was looking at the teacher I didn’t hear a word he said. My mind was in another place completely.

I was highly upset now. The bell rang after what seemed like ages and I robotically moved out of class and headed for my locker. Sky grabbed my arm as I left.

I turned around and he let go of my arm and pulled me into a hug. “I don’t know what’s going on Allie, but it’s gonna be alright. I’m here if you need me and so are the girls.”

I nodded into his shoulder. I’m so happy I have friends like him. He let me go and patted my head which he knew annoyed me. “YOU HAD TO RUIN THE MOMENT BY PATTIN’ MY HEAD DIDN’T YOU!” I yelled after his laughing figure. I stormed to my locker then headed to class.

I walked out of class more annoyed than when I walked in. I just witnessed Jace and his girlfriend, Arielle (finally got that chicks name) being all sappy and kissy. He still hadn’t said anything about our plans and I had an Idea why.

she was short and annoying.

I grabbed my stuff out of my locker waved walked to the parking lot to wait for Anison.

I frowned when a black Porsche pulled up and waited for the window to roll down. Imagine my surprise when I saw Jace behind the wheel.

“Hey, I thought we were hanging out today, do you want a ride or are you going to meet me at my house?” he asked looking at me intently.

“I’ll meet you there.” I said “I have some stuff to do at home first.” I explained.

He nodded “Do you remember where it is? I mean you have been gone long time those four years of boarding school(training in the Alps) may have wiped your memory” he smiled playfully.

The corner of my mouth quirked but didn’t make it into a smile. “1422 beech cherry lane right?”

He nodded “Alright see you then. What time should I expect you? Gotta clean up for the lady.” This time I smiled.

“I should be there around 5:30ish is that ok?

He nodded and waved.

Well that was that I saw Anison and Mysti and sighed. Time to go home and face the unpredictable music.
