I felt alone even with my brother next to me. Extremely few of the people here I even knew. And only 17 people showed up. I counted.
Keven shifted his feet as the speaker guy walked to the front. He spoke of the good times, the bad times, and how they will forever be in our hearts. I could hear Keven snort at that.
He seemed mad at the speaker, as if he did not want him here. Finally the speaker said he was going to call us up to say some words. He called me up first and I had no idea what to do or what Im supposed to say.
I look at Keven for a little help but all he did was stare at me blankly.
When the speaker realised I did not know what to do he walked over to me and whispered, "Tell everyone what you think of Your parents and memories, and how you feel about all this."
I look back out at the small crowd and say the only thing I really knew.
"I love mommy and daddy. They were always there. They knew of my fears and joy... But I guess my fears are what made them rush home... Mom was always working and when she came home she would sometimes have us all watch a movie together. Dad worked part time and was home most of the time, hes a great cook and he helps teach me to cook to!"
Keven seemed to be in deep thought, witch was the most emotion I got from him in a while!
I smile happly. "But we were always together and Keven is all I have left, so I'll stay with him. I'll be what he needs."
People nod their heads while brother was now glaring at me. As he walked up to speak to everyone his eyes iced over everyone. "Mom and dad." He started.
"They always were their. Key word, were, mom and dad knew Kyle was at home alone, and knew how he freaked out during storms because he was scared of the sounds. So they rushed home, despite the fact it was too dangerous to be out at all. Because of Kyle, they died. All because they wanted to protect him from the noises of a storm."
Silence followed his open accuseien at his brother.
I just looked at his and all I saw was the pure anger in his eyes.
It was at me. I wanted to look down but instead I met my brother's gase. I knew it was not my fault.
And even if he blames me I'll stay with him. He needs me. I can't leave him.
His glare however was dark and sent chills down my spine.
No on seemed to know what to do or say. It was as if time stoped.
The moment did not last though. My brother turned around and walked to the cases that I was told had mom and dad in, for they wanted to be buried together.
Then to everyone's surprise and shock he flug the lid open.
Looking at the body's and for a moment wondered if they were sleeping. But Keven glared.
"They did not die like this."
I shrinked back into my seat at his words.
"They died scared. They died in pain. So why to they look so peacefull!?" He screeches. My eyes widen and a few people flinch yet no one stops him.
He looks at us his eyes landing on me.
Even if he couldn't. He needed me. Even if he blames me, he needs me too.
My realised tears were falling from my eyes and shutter letting out a shaky sigh.
When my eyes open he was a few feet away stating at me.
We need to leave.
"Let's go home, brother..."
He spoke with complete hate.
