Blue
After a tough night’s sleep, it was time to get to classes. Slipping on my white blouse and then the drab grey dress over it I picked my name tag off the bedside table and headed out the door. Pig was already waiting for me. “Morning.” I told her, she gave me a smile back. “Is it?” I rolled my eyes. “What class do we have first?”
“Science”
“Yay. We get to dissect the radioactive rats the run around the orphanage”
“A few more R words and that could have been alliteration.”
“Is there any swear words that start with R?”
“No.”
“Then I got nothing.” Pig laughed. “Okay, my little foul, get it, instead of foal. Ha. Ha. I am hilarious” I just hoped she was being sarcastic. “Better get a moving otherwise we’ll be late, and you know what happens then.” She wasn’t lying. I did know. You get the punishment. You only know what the punishment is if you get the punishment. No one told the others, because those who had fallen victim to it disappeared. “Right. Moving.” Together we climbed down several flights of stairs to reach the science laboratory (I don’t call it lab because that sounds too kid friendly.) And waited outside the gothic style class room. “Girls. Boys. Come in and take your seat” As the 20 or so students hurried into the class room I looked at the science teacher. She was doing something on her computer. I took my seat at the front (it was in alphabetical order) and arranged a notebook and pen so I was ready. The science teacher (Ms Elwood) had stopped typing on her computer and faced the class. “At the orphanage there are quite a lot of students born into the pollution and smog. Who knows what the consequence of this is?” Some kids raised their hands tentatively. Picking on a girl called square (because she wore square framed glasses) she waited impatiently for her answer. “Uh, they usually have something wrong with them?” Ms Elwood raised a delicately plucked eyebrow, “Such as…” Square’s eyes went wide, “Um such as, like, er…like blue! The colour of her eyes intensified because of the smog!” The teacher smiled, not a nice smile, a smile that looked like she wanted to eat someone, spit them out, and then eat them again. “Satisfactory. Blue stand up.” Following orders I rose in my seat. “Everyone come closer.” Suddenly I was surrounded by a group of students, trying to look at my eyes. It’s not like I could have stared at the floor or something, because, and I repeat, THEY ARE LOOKING AT MY EYES. It is really, very creepy.

Ricky
“Possessed,” I asked, “By what?”
“I don’t know.” Stephan admitted. “Then how do you know she has been possessed?” I asked him.
“I just do.”
“How?”, I asked him (yet again), “Do you just so happen to know she’s been possessed?”
“Oh, god,” Paige said, “If you start having gut feelings I am going to hit you on the back of the head.” I looked at her, “You mean like Gibbs off NCIS?” she nodded. “Paige, he has gut feelings AND he hits people on the back of the head.”
“Then together, me and Stephan will make the perfect Gibbs.” At that light hearted comment everything could have almost been normal, well except for Montana just standing staring blankly at everyone. “Is it safe to still be out? Should we be getting her back to headquarters?” Headquarters was actually referring to an abounded movie rental place that we converted, that’s why we’re constantly make reference to old and out of date movies. “Yes.” Stephan replied, “But I’m not sure we should take Montana.” He must of seen the horrified expressions on our faces because he said; “Who knows what could have possessed her? We don’t want them seeing our lair.” Lair was stretching it a bit far. A lot far actually. “We can’t just leave her here!” Paige explained. “Why don’t we go back, but keep her in the…basement?” Yeah. I just have the best suggestions. “The basement?,” Paige asked, “The basement?”.
