They took me down to the dungeons, where everything stank of mould. The gloom only cleared in the patches of light where the candles were lit. Even if you didn’t know what the dungeons were for, you’d be able to guess. A strict looking women with stringy black hair pulled into a bun led the way. I didn’t know her name. She took the key around her neck and opened a wooden door. She beckoned me into the inky blackness. With some reluctance I followed her.

Stephan was shouting orders at us as we arrived outside Sister Goliath’s. A massive castle that looked like a more haunted version of Hogwarts. It only had two torrents, and they didn’t look too magical. I saw Stephan motion to the cameras by the wall. Montana nodded, grabbed her old- school laptop and started hacking.

Striking a match, the lady lit a candle by the wall. The dull light didn’t reach the shadows gathering at the corner of the room. In the centre of the room was a metal tomb-like operating table, splattered with blood and gore. Beside it was a dentist chair, broken at the hinges. Various tubes were dripping clear fluid. I got a terrible feeling that the punishment was much worse than death.

“Okay. We’re in.” Montana tightened her black cardigan. I glanced at the prior functioning camera. “What did you do?” Montana grinned.

“Loop; the same piece of footage will play over and over. They’ll only spot it if they’re looking for it.” Stephan thumped her on the shoulder. “Good work.” He turned to Paige. “Place the explosives.”

We walked through another doorway, into another equally dark room. I bit back the many questions that were on my mind. The lady grabbed a lantern with a bony hand. I followed the thin carpet of light that the bulb covered in glass provided. Not believing that I was stupid enough to be walking head first into my doom.

Paige came back, sprinting to the van. “Right,” She panted, “Explosives are set to go in,” She looked at the watch strapped to her wrist. “3…2…1” We braced ourselves. Nothing happened. Paige looked up. “Awkward.”

She led me into a small, dark room. Much like the first one we walked into, in had an operating table and dentist chair. The same bags and tubes were there.

They weren’t empty.

Neither was the chair.

A clear liquid, filled the bag and a sinister looking Ken look alike filled the chair. He grinned at me. A big, plastic smile.  “Hi.” He said in one of those TV-add voices. “You must be Blue.” I weakly nodded, carefully eyeing the needles of the tray beside him. He swivelled the chair around. “Adriana, you can leave now.” The lady (Adriana) left the room.

So I was alone with Ken-man,

Great.

He stood up, nearly doubling my height. “Now, Blue. As I understand you have received the order for the punishment.” I nodded again,  not liking the cheery way he said ‘the punishment.’ “I’m Kent” Ken, Kent. Close enough. “I’ll be performing the procedure.” Panicked, I blurted out; “What is the, uh, procedure?” Kent smiled at me.
