Josh

Chloe sat in front of me. Her blonde hair was up a messy bun, and her eyes held tiredness on them. Her head leaned onto her hand, letting out a soft yawn.

The guilt was eating me alive. I couldn't believe I had be treated her like that. And Lucas.

I sighed. "I have I tell you something."

"Oh my god." Mackenzie breathed when we pulled apart.

Her naturally red lips were parted and swollen. Brown eyes were wide with shock and hair wild.

"You-you just-"

"You kissed me back." I spat before she could say anything.

She shook her head. "But you kissed me."

I looked down. I had been the one to kiss her first. But something about the kiss felt right. It felt almost as right as kissing Chloe.

"I liked it." I blurted, making her chocolate eyes go wide.

"Y-you can't," Mackenzie spoke. "Chloe's my best friend. And Lucas is yours."

"Screw them," I told her. "Now I know why every time I'm with you, Kenz, I feel so nervous and bubbly."

"You can't like me," She spoke, letting a sob escape her lips. "Chloe is gonna hate me."

"I don't care!" I shouted, my emotions getting the best of me.

Brown eyes softened. Her body slumped, and her eyes filled with tears. "I know you don't. But I do."

"C-can I kiss you again," I asked. "To make sure that I wanna be with Chloe."

Mackenzie weakly nodded. "Go ahead."

And with that, I leaned in and pressed my lips on hers once again.

It was perfect.

It felt like one of those cheesy kisses in the movies where the guy realizes he's screwed. Where the guy realizes he has feelings for two completely different girls.

I pulled away, and I could see it in her eyes.

"We're fucked." I told her.

Mackenzie nodded. "Yes, Josh. We are."

I wasn't sure how I found myself at Chloe's doorstep. I thought I was walking back to my hotel room, but my legs had other plans. Plans with Chloe.

"What is it?" She yawned, clearly tired.

"Um..." I trailed off.

"C'mon, Josh," Chloe giggled. "It's late."

I thought before answering. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

That wasn't what I was suppose to say.

But it was too late, since Chloe was up on her feet and kissing my cheek. "Yes! Oh Josh, this is the best news yet. I've had such an...interesting day today."

I leaned in and kissed her cheek. "I guess I just made it ten times better."

I was suppose to tell Chloe the truth. I wasn't suppose to ask her to be my girlfriend. Yet, my mouth opened and useless words spilled out.

She was right. It was late, and I couldn't tell her when she was tired. I had to tell her her she was fully awake and could process everything. The last thing I needed for her to think it was a dream.

But, I was wishing everything was a dream now.
