After asking around for directions Chorong finally came across Dormitory E. It looked like it had been recently built with neat windows coated in a blue color. The red bricks looked distinguished almost like a suite-model. The campus was doing really well with housing students, Chorong thought.
Chorong walked around for a while before finally discovering the main public entrance. She was thankful that it was still daylight and not hours in which a student's I.D. would have to be checked before heading in. She was thankful she'd picked a really good time to come. Now that she thought of it, she felt like a silly criminal investigator herself. If it weren't for the fact that Victoria's life was in danger, she'd be sitting at home right now enjoying some weekly drama. She wondered how Namjoo and Luhan were doing. Perhaps they were all right. Luhan was with Namjoo anyhow. Here, she would have to really come up with some tricks if she wanted to do some things right.
"Please, God, be on my side," Chorong prayed while walking around looking like the fool she felt she was.
Who would she ask? Would anybody here know about Jin Hyuk?
"Excuse me," Chorong pulled a girl who was carrying her load of laundry aside, "do you know a Jin Hyuk?"
"Jin Hyuk? The kid who jumped off the building?"
Chorong slightly raised a brow and nodded.
"Did he live here?" Chorong asked.
"Yes, on the sixth floor, but who are you?"
"Uh...a friend," Chorong lied. "Can I ask you something; a quick question."
"Sure," the friendly girl nodded, "but I am in kind of a hurry." Then she lifted her little basket, "I need to get downstairs before anybody steals the open washer."
Chorong shot her a grateful smile, "Did he have any close friends here?"
"He did hang out with this guy, Kim Daesung," the girl said, "I don't know why he ever hung out with a kid like him; they were total opposites, you see. Other than that, Jin Hyuk was a really quiet person; really reserved. I didn't see him hang out with anybody as much as Daesung."
"Were they friends?"
"Not so much. I heard they were buddies in high school, but they drifted apart after Jin Hyuk won an award they worked on together, but you know, rumors." The girl shrugged.
"Does Kim Daesung live here?" asked Chorong.
"Yes."
"What floor?"
"Also on the sixth floor."
"Sorry, another last question," Chorong said with another pleading smile, "do you know who the last person with Jin Hyuk is?"
The girl shrugged, "I'm not sure about that."
"Sorry for taking so much of your time," Chorong apologized before letting her go.
Well, at least she'd gotten some information she could use, but she'd need more in order to track down the real killer. The more she was learning, the sorrier she felt for poor Jin Hyuk. If he and Daesung had been friends, but drifted apart because of a prize Daesung was just a real loser. That wasn't real friendship to begin with. But then...why did they still hang out after their fallout?
Chorong need more answers. Daesung was currently number 1 on her suspect's list. If he had a hidden grudge because of the award Jin Hyuk received in high school, it could only explain why he'd want to hurt Jin Hyuk.
When she got onto the sixth floor she really hoped someone else would be willing to help explain things to her. She browsed through the hallways slowly and turned her head away when one of the male students walked out with only a towel over his waist. He quickly skimmed by in embarrassment with a nod of greeting before disappearing into his room. Once gone, Chorong continued and stopped when she saw the name Kim Daesung written on a paper fish taped to the door.
