Darkness...
No one haunts them anymore. Is that good or bad?
It's too empty. Too quiet. It makes me scared.
When I move it's painful. When I don't it's painful. Please, someone... Don't leave me alone in here.... Please....
"Please..." I unintentionally whisper. Was that a dream?
"Sakura?" I squeeze my eyes trying to get them to stop burning. "Are you waking?"
"I feel like I'm about to throw up." I groan as I curl in a ball.
"You should. You've been sleeping for a week. You didn't eat or drink anything the entire time." My eyes flick open.
"A week?"
"Yes. Your brother said this is a common thing. He says you'd be lucky to wake up in a month." I was just checking on you." I push myself up.
"Everything's hazy... I can't think straight." I shake my head.
"You just need time to adjust. You feeling okay?"
"No. I vaguely remember what happened but I feel blank." I stand up shakily.
"Sakura, do not rush this-"
"I have a headache, I want to take a bath. Just let me have this time to myself." I don't wait for a response as I sneak away.
~~~
I feel much better, although still shaky as I emerge from the bath room. I was running a hand through my hair when the wind is knocked out of me.
"Ow..." I mumble patting Mei's head. She wouldn't let go making me laugh so I picked her up and sat her on the steps walking past the others.
"Come on, it was only a week." I chuckle.
"Don't leave." She begs making me laugh.
"What's this about leaving? What are you talking about? Did Fuyu try to scare you? If he was I'll punch him in the face for you." She looks up and I wipe her tears.
"No, you did. You said you were gonna leave!" I give her a look. What happened while I was out?
"I think I would remember a big decision like that. What's she talking about?" I look up to the others stroking Mei's hair worriedly.
"Sakura, you were gonna leave." Souji says cautiously. I raise an eyebrow.
"Leave where? Wait,did I have some job-"
"No... Can you tell us what you remember?" Yamazaki says seriously.
"Uh... I know everyone was there and Fuyu... Actually my whole clan. What happened? I'm actually blanking on my memories. Everything is blurry. So what happened? I know I must've lost it for a while... I didn't hurt anyone, did I?" I look up worriedly and they have the same expression. "Who?"
"No one its just... You should call your brother here." Hijikata says making me worry. I lift up my sleeve and put my hand over Fuyu's bracelet.
"Could you come over? I-" He appears in front of me. His eyes were red with lack of sleep. Dark circles of worry was under his eyes. He immediately had me in his arms.
"I'm so glad you're okay." He whispers.
"You look terrible." I say when he lets me go.
"If you're still leaving you can come with me and-"
"Why is everyone talking about me leaving? I never even thought about that. This really isn't funny." I say narrowing my eyes.
"She seems to have memory loss." Yamazaki explains.
