The sensation

An explainable rush through my body

Sending cold shiver up my spine

Leaving all my hairs standing up on edge

My mind clouded like a fog on a cold winter's morning

My body frozen in place like the London guards

My heart beating hard against ribs bringing an unbearable pain

My breath suddenly sweep out from under me

Quivering lips

Eyes wide like an animal caught in a cage

Everything going dark around me

But that sensation is still running through my system

I can't help but want more and more of it

My instincts moving without a single thought

Letting things flow by in a fuzzy haze

Things whom I won't even remember the following morning

But yet I still want more

Even if I'm still unsure of what it is I desire so much

As I continue to try and solve the mysteries of what's happening I see a light

My haze and vision returning to me all at once

My eyes flash open

Beads of sweat pouring from my skin

The tight grip of my bed sheets against my body

The unsatisfied feeling still wavering in my stomach

Maybe the day will come when I remember

What it is that drives my body into overdrive

The sensation that leaves me as well as my body breathless

How I long to know the day when I finally figure it all out

So for now I'll allow it to pass by me freely

Enjoy this feeling surging through every inch of me

Allowing my everything to feel as though it was nothing

But one day I'll discover what it truly is

And once I get it I'll make sure to never let it go again
