And so the night begins

52 7 6

As the night swallows up this city

I can't help but watch

Shadows flicker from place to place

Swirling around the street lamps

The roar of cars soon disappears

The bird's sweet lullaby begins to fade away

Leaving the streets as silent as the dead

The moon masks the city it its captivating glow

This lively city

It's lights and glory

Laughter and noise

Disappears once night arrives

It's almost like another world
