The silver stopwatch

26 5 2

The blazing hot sun scorched my back

My coffee had long since gone cold

I sighed and turned to face the window

Children playing around in the nearby park

Ladies chatting men up in the streets

As my eyes began to wonder further I noticed something

A woman

Not like the rest

Long auburn hair that swept down to her hips

Silent pale green eyes that seemed to sparkle with wonder

Slightly tanned skin

Something enticed me about her

from her smile to her style

Even the way she moved interested me

My eyes continued to take in everything about her

But something in particular caught my eye

a small tattoo around her ankle

A silver stopwatch with black symbols along it

I raised my eyebrows in confusion

I've seen that print somewhere before

On my trip to Paris I saw a lady just like her with that tattoo

Then there was that time in Greece as well

I know her

I blinked a few times remembering all the times I've seen her

But when I opened them she was gone

I sighed and looked away from the window

See you next time

My guardian angel
