Chapter 14

Chapter 14:

Damons POV:

Damons mind stopped and his breath hitched.
'How did she find out? What the hell! This girl must be one fu*king Braniac to figure this out!'

"What are you talking about?" He finally asks after the shock left him.

Elizabeth sighed and shook her head.
"The picture. I recognise the patten by the body on the pavement. I drew that near the supermarket that you just went to while I was in the bath." She explains.

Damons eyes widen.
"You really figured it out by that?" He asked, a smirk now playing on his lips.
'Well she's smarter than I first thought!' He thought.

Elizabeth nodded a little.
"Yeah... I did. I'm a detective... It's my job to analyse things." She says with a shrug.

Damon nodded and looked into her eyes deeply.
"Take it you're taking me to the police?" He asked with a smirk again

Elizabeth thought for a while and looked down, shaking her head.
"No... I'm not.... I'm gonna make sure you don't get caught!" She confessed.

Damons jaw dropped in shock.
"W-what? Aren't you.... Scared of me?" He asked, confusion on his face and filling his voice.

Elizabeth shook her head again, suprising Damon.
"I love you... I always will. And I thank you. If it wasn't for you I would have murdered three of them anyway." She murmmers.

'Wow... She actually loves me that much! And I know the three! Damn I love this girl!' Damon thought as he wrapped his arms around her small body.
"Thank you my love." He whispers, kissing her cheek softly.

Damon couldn't grasp the fact that a detective, the girl he loved so dearly, was actually going to protect him, hide him and do whatever it takes to keep him out of prison. Now that.... That is true love.

After a few moments of hugging, Elizabeth finally curled up in his lap.
"Thank you... For protecting me from getting my heart broken." She finally whispers.

Damon strokes her hair calmingly, soothingly and chuckled lightly.
"As soon as I saw you I was attracted to you." He admits.

Elizabeth nods, wanting him to continue.

Damon smiled and continued his confession.
"I saw you walking my way, your smile so bright and beautiful, I thought you were smiling at me, but when you ran into his arms... I was deverstated. I followed you to the park, watching you. As soon as you left, he went across the park and to that blonde, bimbo sl*t and began hugging and kissing her, saying she was his one and only. I got angry, you didn't deserve that, he didn't deserve you and she got in the way... So I killed them." He finally confessed with a shrug.

Elizabeth nodded and hugged him tighter.
"Thank you Damon... And the other victims?" She asked with a slight croak.

Damon sighed.
"My mother used to beat me. She was horrible. Never fed me or loved me... Just hit me. So one day my dad decided to kill her in front of me. However I didn't find it upsetting, depressing or terrifying. I found it blissful, exciting and justifying. She deserved it. And through the years I encountered other that did wrong. They so deserved what they got." Damon explained with a small sigh.

Elizabeth nodded again and lay down, laying her head on his lap looking up into his vibrant blue eyes.
"You had good reason. I'm so sorry." She whispered with a sad expression.

Damon shook his head, stroking her hair back gently whilst holding her hand.
"It's okay my love~!" He smiled and pulled her close.
"Thank you. For not turning me in." He thanks with a bright smile.

Elizabeth nodded.
"It's okay. I'll always love you... No matter what." She whispers, leaning up and kissing his lips softly once more.

Damon smiled into their soft and delicate kiss.
'She is amazing. She's my one true love...'
