Blake Gray

Hailey's dad called me awhile ago, saying that she would arrive here in California together with Trevor and Jack.

She was suffering from Transient Global Amnesia, which is when a person has temporary Amnesia, but he/she could remember themselves and other persons very well.

Thank God, it wasn't permanent.

But unfortunately, temporary can be too long for me.

"Where's the room for Cassander?" I asked the person at the front desk.

"Room 173" she answered pointing to the right.

"Thanks" I said while going to the right. 150 and above would be at the second floor, So that meant I had to walk up the stairs.

Fortunately, it was not that long. I was finally infront of her room, then I knocked.

Her dad opened the door then I entered. Jack, Trevor, Mr and Mrs Cassander were the only ones in the room.

"How is she?" I asked.

"She's been sleeping for the past few hours." Her dad replied.

"What's gonna happen?" I asked.

"The thing is Blake, I want you to help her remember the most memorable moments of her life" her dad said, which made me turn to him.

"What? He barely knows anything about her" Jack said, standing up from his seat.

"I can do this" he said.

"I'm afraid you can't, you gave her so much heartbreak, she might be heartbroken for the rest of her life, once she remembers about the heartbreak you gave her." Hailey's dad explained.

He groaned and sat down.

"So Blake, I trust you in this" he said. "We'll just give it a try, maybe you can do it right"

I took a deep breath, "okay"

I went closer to her bed.

"Hey, uh Brake?" She asked, with her eyes looking right at mine.

I chuckled a bit "Blake" I corrected.

We were sitting down on her bed. Her dad says, if it was necessary, I should get paid. But ofcourse I didn't want that hassle so I didn't agree, I said I'll do it for Hailey.

"I don't really remember anything, is this normal?" She asked.

"Um, not really but hey, I'll help you" I assured, she gave a genuine smile.

"Thanks, I can be forgetful sometimes" she said, while laughing. I laughed along with her.

"Here's a song, it might let you remember a bit." I said while scrolling down my Spotify playlist.

It played the song "all my friends" It was the time when she puked at the bar, that's the time we got closer.

Ah, memories.

Throughout the song, she was enjoying herself. She even sang along the chorus.

"You look cute when you do that" I complimented, her cheeks turning red.

"Thanks" she said then continued to sing along.

I've heard music can actually bring back memories forgotten by a person, but I don't know if it's true. I mean, it worked for me, but not for everyone.

"Hey, school's tomorrow. You ready?" I asked.

"School?" She asked.

"You know it's a place where you learn also known as hell" I said sarcastically. She laughed at my answer.

"Oh now I get it, I remember getting embarrassed by a teacher" she said, chuckling.

"You really don't remember the time when we were in Londo--" my sentence was cut off by Hailey's mom.

"Blake and Hailey, come downstairs." Her mom yelled.

We went downstairs only to be greeted by Penny.

"Hailey!!" She said while hugging her. Hailey hugged back, she probably remembers her.

"Penelope right?" She asked.

"Yes, you remembered" she let out a sigh of relief.

"Why don't we go out for some movie night at my house?" Penny asked.

"Sure" we both say together, which made us look at eachother.

"Jinx, jinx again!" We exclaimed.

"Okay, stop those cliché moments guys, the movie can't wait" Penny complained like a kid, we laughed at her response.

We went to Penny's car and went to her house.

"Guess we have a lot in common, Mr Gray" Hailey smirks.

"Then what does that makes us?" I asked, smirking like crazy at her.

"Friends?" She said, not sure of her answer.

Back at it at being friendzoned, sigh.

This is my mission for her to remember things not to make her like me.

As much as I love her, I can't lie to her.

"We're here!" Penny announced as we were infront of her house.

We went to her movie room, shocked at how big and comfortable it is.

We were debating which movie we'd pick, either Mean Girls or Insidious 2

After arguing for the last 5 minutes, we picked Insidious 2. I mean, we only get to watch these kinds of movies sometimes.

"Ahh!" Hailey shouted as she hugged me without hesitation.

"You scared?" I asked. She nodded her head,hiding her face in the blanket. Instead of saying "it's okay" I wrapped my arms around her.

On the other side, Penny was going crazy. Probably because of what I did to Hailey.

"Ugh, I'm being a third wheel here!" She whispered.

"We're not even dating" Hailey said.

"Yeah" I agreed, but we all know deep inside, that I wanna date her. Yet, that's not possible.

She needs to remember everything first, before I ask her out on a date.
