I don't know how much I slept for but soon someone is knocking on my bunk door. I ignored it because I wanted to sleep. But the knocking persisted. I sign and roll over and open the door.
Thank goodness it was only Vic.
" Geez Vic why can't you let a girl sleep?" I ask
" Fine then unless you don't want something from the diner." Vic says as he starts to close the door
" Wait!" I yell
I jump out and I see Vic smirking.
" You asshole." I say
" Cas language ." Tony warns
" Don't be a hypocrite Tony." I say
We walk outside with Jaime at the back thank goodness. When we get inside the diner I go find us a booth and I sit down. Soon Jaime is heading over and I don't look up at him.
" Are you ok?" Jaime asks
" I'm fine." I say bluntly
" Are you sure?" Jaime asks
" Yea I'm pretty sure." I say
Soon the rest of the guys are heading over and Vic slides in next to me. We've pretty much been attached to the hip since we first met.
" I'm so glad you decided to join us." Vic says
" Yea sure whatever." I say
" So what have you been up to Cassidy?" Mike asks
" Not much. I've been studying Neuro Science at school." I say
" You're in college right?" Vic asks
"Yea I'm nineteen." I say
" I can't believe you are only one year younger than us." Mike says
" Me either." I say
" What's Neuro Science?" Jaime asks
" It's the studies of the brain." I say
" Cool." Jaime says
" It's pretty cool ." I say
Soon a waitress appears and she stares at us strangely. Yea I know one girl with four guys who have tattoos and piercings. Not that I have never heard that one before.
" What do you want to drink?" She asks
"Cokes please." Vic says
She walks away and we continue to talk.
"Do you want to talk about..." Vic starts
But my brother is shaking his head. Don't bring it up. Of course I know what they are talking about.
They were talking about our parents' death of course. It was a touchy subject for me. I hated explaining or even talking about it.
" So am I your best friend?" Vic asks
" Second best after Tony." I say
" Aw thanks sis." Tony says
" Remember brother my compliments come once every blue moon." I say
" The moon is never blue." Tony says
" Exactly that's why my compliments are so rare." I say
