Chapter 9

We were three weeks into the tour when my birthday came. I never made a big deal of my birthday because it just reminded me I was alive for another year.

So when I woke up I guess you could say I forgot.

When I got out of my bunk Tony jumped behind me and gave me a hug.

" Happy birthday sis." Tony says

" It's my birthday already." I say

" Yep. And we're going to make it special." Tony says

I smile but I couldn't help but think of what their definition of special was. I made my way to the back of the bus.

The rest of the guys were already there.

" Happy Birthday Cassidy!" Vic yells and runs up to me

" Thank you Vic." I say

Mike comes up to me and gives me birthday wishes as well. Jaime goes last and he says a simple happy birthday.

I guess that's alright I mean I've never really talked to him how I talk to to Vic.

" So what do you want to do for your birthday?" Tony asks

" Huh I don't really know." I say

" We'll think of something." Vic says

" That makes me slightly nervous." I say with a laugh

I didn't sleep last night because I didn't want to have dreams. My dreams scare me.

" Don't worry this will be the best birthday of your life." Vic says

" I would hope so." I say

" Spoiled." Jaime says

" what can I say? I'm a princess." I say

" You're our princess." Jaime says

I'm definitely going to be a princess today. It's my special day.

We parked at our next hotel and we went to check in. Sleeping was already there.

" Happy Birthday Cassidy!" Kellin says

" How'd you know?" I ask

" Vic and Tony told us." Nick says coming up behind Kellin

" So what are you going to do?" Kellin asks

" I don't know but whatever it is it will have to wait till after the show." I say

" Oh that's ok. It just makes our night more fun." Kellin says

He heads back to his band mates and I turn to my own friends.

" Guess that means your presents will wait." Vic says

" You guys didn't have to get me anything ." I say

"Well we wanted to." Tony says

I roll my eyes and we get checked in. I room with Vic this time around. We head out to our room and once again i choose the bed closest to the window.

I lay on my bed and stare up at the ceiling. I so didn't want to go to sleep. But I had a secret for me to stay up.

I'm not telling you now. You'll just have to find out later.

" You tired princess?" Vic asks

I shake my head no and stare back up at the ceiling. Soon the bed sags and I know Vic is next to me.

"So how does it feel to be twenty?" Vic asks

" Fine I guess." I say

" I can't believe you're only one year younger than us." Vic says
