"My lord, I am in absolute need of the good you send me" -Musa AS (Moses) {Quran- 28:24}
Rahmat's POV
I took his antidepressants and hid them in my bag. He didn't need that reminder of his past.
I set my bag down and walked to the other room, only to find him asleep on the couch.
He looked peaceful, but it was obvious he was crying due to his tearstained cheeks.
I sat on the floor, and leaned on the couch quite carefully.
"Hey" he said, in a husky voice.
He sat up, and then pulled me up to sit with him.
"Why have you been crying?" I asked, cupping his face.
"I miss her" he muttered.
"She's in the hands of Allah now" I said.
"I know, but it's hard to think she is gone, she raised me" he said
"Think of it this way: if you had a garden full of flowers, which one would you pick first? The pretty ones or the ugly ones?" I said.
"The pretty ones" he replied.
"Exactly. Allah, chose the beautiful ones first, instead of the ugly ones" I said.
There was a short pause before he replied.
"How did I get so lucky?" he asked.
"Huh"
"I don't deserve you, but I'm going to be selfish, and have you anyway" he said.
I sat just a bit closer to him, facing him on the couch.
"You're right, you don't deserve me, you deserve someone more beautiful, and smart and—"
He cut me off by kissing me.
"Believe me, when I say, that's not what I meant" he whispered against my lips, before kissing me again.
"Aseef, you don't have me. I was yours from the beginning" I said, kissing him again.
"That sounds really satisfying" he mumbled.
"Hey Aseef?" I began.
A blush made its way on to my face.
I looked down at my hands."Hmm" he replied.
"Did..you....um....love....Jennifer.......?"
There was a slight pause before he started dying of laughter.
"Oh my god...you are hilarious" he said.
"Huh..." I asked.
"No, I didn't love her. She was labeled my girlfriend because she'd always be around me"
"Oh...but well did you kiss her and do other stuff with her?" I asked.
"You sound like a jealous girlfriend right now" he replied smirking.
"No, I'm just curious. Now answer the question"
"No. I won't" he said.
"No?" I asked.
"I don't understand, did you like do something with her?" I said, getting annoyed.
I clenched my fists.
"No, I just love to watch you act like a jealous girlfriend" he said.
"Okay, but are you sure" I asked.
