The Third

Nick's P.O.V
I open my eyes. I look down and see Nate, on Nikki's chest. I can feel a smile form on my face. I almost feel bad to leave him here alone on this bed. But I have a job to do. I gently unwrap my arms from him and slide out from under him. I get out of bed and walk to her closet. I put on a black beanie, black pants and black jeans. I close the closet door and walk out of her bedroom and down the stairs. I turn into the living room and almost have a heart attack. Shane is sleeping on the couch in the living room. My fingers inch to do it to him, but I tell myself to wait, to save the best for last. I walk into the kitchen and open the drawer. Before I do that, I remember that I'm going to need gloves to hide our fingerprints. I look around and see a pair of black gloves, I grab them and put them on. I grab a steak knife and shut the drawer. I walk to the front door and grab my skateboard, I look over at Shane and see he's still sleeping. I open my door and shut it. I skate down the sidewalk, going fast to get to my destination on time. I'm there in about 20 seconds. Madison's house. I pop my skateboard and open the black gate. I walk up the walkway and stop at her bronze colored door. I smirk, it's almost too easy. I take out one of Nikki's hairpin's and get down on my knees. I pick the lock ever so slowly. I hear a small click. The door swings open and I walk inside, shut the door behind me. First things first, I have to make her blind. I walk towards the kitchen and walk cut the power. The house is engulfed in total darkness, every electronic device should be out now, including Madison's phone. I walk up the stairs, I hear her confused chatting, I push her door open and there she is. Sitting on her bed, with her computer in her lap and phone to her ear, her back is towards me. Good, she won't even see me coming. I tiptoe into her room and leave the door open. I heard that chasing a victim is always more fun then just killing them dead on. She isn't even aware that I'm standing behind her. I raise my left hand, the one that isn't holding the knife and cover her mouth. She reacts instantly. Her screams come out muffled. She turns her head around and sees my face. Her pupils go small with terror. I lean in towards her face and drag the knife lightly down her skin. A whimper comes out of her. I smile and whispers," do you know why I'm here?" A head shake. " do you know what I'm going to do to you Maddy?" Another head shake. My mouth forms into a smirk. I pull my face back and let the hand that is holding the knife cut her blonde locks. They fall down onto the bed. Madison screams with terror and horror, as she sees her hair fall down. I lean back into her face and say,"that,was to let you know I'm serious, now, the real fun begins, well, at least fun for me". I let go of her and she takes off running down the stairs screaming and crying. I chuckle and race after her. She makes it into the kitchen and picks up the phone, her confused face is enough to make me pass out from laughter. I hear her shoes squeak as she runs down the hallway. I laugh, like I said, the chase is always more fun then the kill. I walk slowly after her, taunting her saying what I'm going to do to her. Her screams of terror only make me laugh more. I know where she's heading, too bad I locked all the doors. I run and tackle her to the ground. Before she can say anything I stab her in the stomach, she lets out a banshee scream of pain, I stab her over and over again. A large pool of blood forms underneath her. I'm breathing very hard. I look into her eyes. Their glassy, which means she has left this world. I get up off my knees and kick her head just for fun. I walk back down the hallway and walk into the bathroom, the window already open, I jump through. Run around to the front side of the house, grab my skateboard and skate back to my house. I open the door walk in and come face to face with Shane. Who's awake. Shit. I quickly hide the bloody knife inside my pants pocket. Shane looks at me or well Nikki, angrily, waiting for an explanation. I laugh nervously and say," I was out for a midnight stroll, I couldn't sleep after today, sorry I didn't tell you". Shane looks at me with a frown on his face. He sighs and says," it's fine, we'll talk about it in the morning, just go to your room and get some sleep". He smiles sleepy at me. I smile back and practically run up the stairs to my room. Before I go to my room I run into the bathroom and wash the knife off then learn it on the bathroom sink. I walk across the hall into my room and close my door. I crawl underneath the covers and underneath Nate and fall straight asleep.
