I landed on the ground, stumbling a bit before gaining back my balance
"Kai, I want you to search around the area for any survivors, understood?" I told Kai who nodded her head at me before flying off of my shoulder and into the sky
"And I will take care of Fire Nation Soldiers." I stated before I began running, passing by rubble and people evacuating as fast as they could. I skidded to a stop when a group of Fire Nation Soldiers cut me off
"Get out of here citizen, the enemy is attacking as we speak!" The soldier in front ordered me and I groaned at them
"Sorry, but you are the enemy, not us." Before he could retaliate, I ignited my fist and uppercut him in the jaw, sending him flying backwards into one of the other soldiers. The other soldiers around us stopped and stared at the two on the ground in shock
"Who the hell are you, peasant?!" One of them asked me, angered at my actions, I smirked at them before igniting my other fist
"Lea of the Galactics." I began to fight with them, throwing punches and balls of fire at them in the process, of course they fought back anger surging through their blood, but as I fought with elegance, I was stronger. More and more soldiers came to try and take me down, causing me to be surrounded. I took a deep breath before doing multiple spins, my right hand of in the air and the other extended outwards. I heard them cry out as they were burned from my fire, but it didn't kill them, I'm not like my father or Azula, I would never be like them for the rest of my lifetime. I stopped when they were all on the ground, groaning in pain. I heard flutter of wings above me to see Kai flying over to me. I extended my right arm for her to land
"Anyone still out there?" I asked her and she nodded
"Okay, lead the way." I told her and watched her fly off of my forearm, into the direction of where the person is still at. I followed after her, careful not to get into any soldier's line of sight along the way. I came into sight of a group of people, huddled together

"Hey! Come on you guys have to get our of here!" I yelled, running over to them only to be stopped by a young teenage girl, around the same age Zuko

"No! We aren't leaving our home, and why should we trust you?!" She asked me rudely having my glare at her
"Because this is my home too. I know how you feel about leaving right now, but after this day, Ba Sing Se will be rebuild and this 100 year war will be over, the Fire Nation's Tyranny will no longer be!" I answered her, trying to make her believe me
"I can tell just from your eyes, you're Fire Nation-"
"I know! And I'm not proud of what my stupid nation has done! But, that doesn't mean that I'm like Ozai or any one else from the Fire Nation!" I argued with her, looking behind my shoulder to see if there were any soldiers marching towards us
"Still-"
"Jin. Please, she's trying to help us." The woman interrupted Jin, standing up while carrying her baby who was crying
"No Ying! Why can't you get it through your thick skull that she's with the enemy-"
"Shut up! I am not with the man who tried to execute me when I was 9 years old!" I screamed at her, getting tired of her petty excuses. She stared at me in shock
"W-What?"
"Forget about what I said. Now get out of here before the whole city collapses to the ground!" I ordered them, pointing at the way I came from. Jin slowly walked past me, her head hung low in shame, the woman Ying and her husband shortly followed after her their heads held up high
"Thank you." Ying thanked me and I nodded. I watched as their figures disappeared from sight, giving me the cue to go and help the people who are fighting to regain back Ba Sing Se in the first place. Kai squawked before flying in front of me and blew hot air in my face having me lightly giggle
"Don't worry girl, everything is going to be okay. Aang and the others are going to help us heal this world from my family's demise." I stated before running across rubble and jumped off of some wooden beams that were left from a broken down house. Before heading to find the people who were leading this invasion, I went to the place me and Shinya lived at. I stopped abruptly when I saw the boulder that hid the whole to our place was open, someone has been down there, or is still down there.
I carefully trudged down the ladder, making sure not to make any sound that would indicate that I was here. I dropped down into a crouch, Kai flying down and landing on my shoulder, about to let out a squawk. I put my hand over her mouth
"Shhh... Someone may be here.." I whispered to her, letting go of her mouth and carefully making my way into the open space area that was my home in Ba Sing Se.
