||Chapter 36 - Relationship Advisor, Sokka||

3rd Person's POV

It was almost lunch time when Lea led Shinya into the garden, a blindfold tied around his head, covering his eyes. Lea directed him around the area, a wide smile etched into her features at the thought of seeing the look on Shinya's face after the big reveal. Lea came to an abrupt stop, stopping Shinya as well in his haste

"Okay, don't take the blindfold off until I clap 5 times alright?"

"Wait what do you mean by-" Lea scurried off to hide, Shinya noticing when he heard her climbing a tree

"-5 claps... Okay, nevermind you left." Shinya pursed his lips blindly looking around, awaiting for the 5 claps to come. Lea, who quickly signaled everyone to hide before hiding herself behind a tree. She clapped 5 times and waited for Shinya to take off his blindfold. Successfully untying it, he blinked frantically at the bright light letting his eyes adjust before looking around to see no one in sight, only a lousy banner strung up between two trees displaying the word 'Surprise!' in black paint. Shinya furrowed his brows and was about to call or Lea only for many to jump out of their hiding spots

"SURPRISE!" Shinya jumped in surprise, his eyes immediately catching sight of the red head who had a smug look on her face, pleased with herself

"Happy Birthday Shinya!" Lea told him and many others followed after, speaking to him and joking around with him. Teo wheeled himself over to Shinya and held his arms out to him for a hug. Shinya smiled and bent down and hugged him.

"Happy Birthday son." The crazy inventor told Shinya after he released Teo from him hold. They both hugged before turning towards Lea who was acting all giddy in excitement

"Thank you again your highness for putting this together at such short notice-"

"No need to thank me. Besides what kind of best friend would I be if I didn't." Lea leaned against Shinya as if he was a pole causing him to chuckle, an mischevious urge to push her in the small pond next to them but decided against it. Although it would be very funny and amusing

"Shinya, may I speak to you for a moment?" Zuko appeared not wearing his Fire Lord Attire instead one of his old outfits. He even let his hair down. Shinya paid no mind to Zuko's non-representable look (But then again this is indeed a party for close friends, not the public)

"Yeah sure." Shinya nodded and followed after Zuko, leaving Lea to almost falling to the ground only for her to catch her fall, Teo laughing at her in amusement. The two walked over to the refreshment table before Zuko began speaking

"Take care of my sister." Shinya blinked confusingly

"Umm, I have been for the past 3 years?" Shinya told him, confused by what the young fire lord meant by his demand

"I know how you feel about her, Shinya. It's evident in your eyes, I do not know you as well as I would like to but Lea trusts you leaving me no choice but to. Hurt her in anyway and I will burn you to a crisp then throw you into the mouth of a dragon as it's dinner. Understood?" Zuko warned him and Shinya nodded, seeing the look in Zuko's eyes that what he was telling was true, he would burn him to a crisp and thrown him into the mouth of a dragon as it's dinner. Very descriptive... Shinya thought

"I promise you, I would never hurt her emotionally or physically. My father has taught me to respect all women of all nature-" Zuko scoffed rolling his eyes, "Including Fire Nation." Shinya finished. Zuko sighed looking over at his little sister who had just joined a conversation with Katara and Toph. Zuko watched as she laughed hysterically about what Toph said that he couldn't hear. Zuko was suddenly dragged off by his uncle leaving Shinga to stand there alone, watching as others enjoyed themselves. Shinya has always never been much for a conversational starter or talker when he was younger and he still is in now but only slightly, Lea was the one who helped him speak more frequently rather than nothing at all. That was one of the many things Lea has helped him with, one of the reasons why he cares about her so much.

Shinya smiled at the thought just as someone threw their arm over his shoulders, snapping him out of his daze

"So I overheard your guy's conversation..." Sokka stated taking a bite out of his dumpling and munching on it happily. He swallowed and wiggled his eyebrows teasingly at Shinya causing the earth bender's face to go beer red

"W-What? Uh no what are you talking about-?" Shinya stuttered out causing Sokka to laugh

"You like her~ Well young man I shall teach you the ways of relationships." Shinya's face slowly returned to it's natural color. He arched an eyebrow at Sokka in confusion

"And what do you know about relationships?"

"Oh anything and everything my friend! Just ask me anything and I shall answer!" Sokka stated taking another bite out of his dumpling. Shinya sighed at his antics, shaking his head lightly

"Fine. How do I find out if she likes me back." Sokka spat out his dumpling in shock, not knowing how to answer that question. Sokka laughed awkwardly, removing his arm from around Shinya's shoulders

"Uhhh..." Sokka began to think about her him and Suki found out that they liked each other, only to realize that was in the middle of attack lea by Zuko when he was in Kyoshi Warrior Armor and Suki kissed him...

"Okay Umm.... Kiss her?" Sokka told him questionably, not knowing how to word it. Shinya felt his face get hot, his eyes widening immensely

"What? I can't do that!"

"Well that's how me and Suki did it, Suki kissed me then when we saw each other again lived happily ever after!"

"But I can't just kiss her without any explanation first!"

"Oh come on sure you can! Now just walk up to her and kiss her then badda bing badda boom, instant relationship!"

"I'm leaving, see ya Sokka." Shinya walked away from him, Sokka's jaw dropped to the floor in shock

"But-But-But- What...?!" Sokka was in so much shock of how easily Shinya walked away from him after his pro tip that he couldn't move from his spot. Suki, who was speaking to some of the Kyoshi Warriors noticed this and giggled at the look on his face. Lea, who was totally oblivious to this conversation that just occurred between Sokka and Shinya kept speaking with Katara and Toph.
