Things were getting hot.
And not in the way you were thinking.
I hissed in pain when a rope of fire was whipped at my arm, momentarily burning my skin before healing
"Focus, Princess! The Masters would not be at all pleased if they saw you acting like this!" Yelled Rago, one of my Instructors from the Sun Gods. I gritted my teeth, sending a few golden fire blasts his way before shielding myself by use of a boulder, watching as his flames striked past my location
"Are you trying to kill me?!" I asked him, my hair flipping into my face as I peeked my head around to look where Rago was
"No, just to temporary injure!" I jumped up before the boulder blew up from increased heat at the base of it. I landed straight on my feet, huffing as I felt sweat roll down the side of my face
"Wouldn't have known by your flames!" I retorted, instantly regretted it when he whipped my behind with his fire rope
"Oww! Okay, I kinda deserved that one..." I muttered before running to dodge more of his attacks, the fire blasts whooshing was the only music I could hear in my ears.
I had been training with the people of the Sun Tribe, or commonly known as the Sun Gods for almost two years now, The very same tribe Zuko and Aang found before Sozin's Come to distinguish their flames.
I was easily welcomed, unlike Aang and Zuko were, because of who I was. The Phoenix Princess Lea of the Fire Nation. And to those of you wondering, I did indeed meet the Masters.
Only, I failed to remember what I was to do in order to gain permission from them to train within the tribe. So, when I reached the very top of the death stairs up to the heavens or whatever, lots and lots of very hot fire was blown at me full force.
"Princess, focus!" I barely managed to dodge another of Rago's attacks, grunting in displeasure
"You yelling focus is not helping!" I yelled back at him, sending a few blasts his way before parkouring up the side of an old monument that rested by the training grounds, swinging around a pole of stone that held carved designs of famous spirits etched into it. I bit my bottom lip, mapping out where to go next to achieve victory. I plunged down onto the earth, grabbing hold of a few stray pebbles into my right hand, running straight towards Rago's form. With a deep inhale of breath, I blew hot air into my right hand, setting the pebbles on fire instantly, the flamage would only last for a few seconds, but that will be enough. I crushed them together with my left hand, my eyes narrowing at Rago
"Betta Hide Yo Flameyo Children, Rago!" I said to him before pressing my palms to his chest, the hot pebbles burning through his vest. The force sent him flying backward into the stairs, sending him off of his feet and onto his butt; ending the match.
I did a victory dance in happiness of beating him, Me: 589 - Rago: 611.
Rago chuckled at my antics, rubbing his scruffy beard before pushing himself off of the ground, dusting off dirt and cinders off of him
"Good job kiddo, but you still have a long ways to go to get past my 611 scoring." He told me, cockiness laced in his voice. I stuck my tongue out at him, blowing a raspberry, "I won 5 times this week, I'm quickly closing in!" He rose a brow, a smirk dawning across his face
"Oh, really now? You almost lost today because you weren't focusing on the task at hand." I rolled my eyes, sighing heavily as I took my short red hair out of it's small bun, shaking it around wildly to cool off
"Well, you yelling 'focus!' every ten seconds makes me focus but focusing on focusing on focusing on focusing to focus-" He flicked my forehead harshly, stopping me from continuing. He threw a towel at me, walking away
"We are done for today, rest up and take time for yourself. Don't cause any trouble for the elders, and I mean it." He casted me a short-lived glare before disappearing magically out of thin air. I made a face, rubbing the sweat off of my face. I sat down on the ground, my legs laid outstretched in front of me while I held my leaning torso up with my arms, staring up at the blue sky, no cloud in sight.
Two years since I have been in contact with anyone from my past. I turned 15 today and yet, I couldn't celebrate it with anyone.

"If we take precautions here, we can-" A messenger came in before the young Fire Lord could finish his sentence. Fire Lord Zuko glared at the interrupting messenger, standing up straight to address him
"I apologize for the interruption Fire Lord, but I have a letter to deliver to you."
"I can see that, from whom?" Zuko asked, "I do not know, I apologize. But it is indeed addressed to you." The messenger walked forward before handing over the letter. Zuko glanced around at his business inquiries before down at the mysterious letter in hand
"The meeting is adjourned, we will continue this discussion tomorrow."
"Yes, Fire Lord Zuko.".
Once Zuko was left alone, he opened the letter, only to find not a letter, but a tiny funny drawing with the words, 'All busy busy with me yah har?!'. He felt himself smile, the stress of building Republic City melting away as he knew who it was from, his little sister, Lea.
