Lea knelt on her knees in front of the Masters, the two creatures staring down at the young Phoenix in wonder, today was the day Lea was permitted to go home, finally.
But before she could go, she had to pass a test presented by the Masters and win a duel against her own self, whatever that meant.
She was itching in anticipation to finally be able to go back home, back to her country that she grew to love again.
The Masters grumbled amongst themselves, their language ancient and indescribable. Despite Lea not being able to understand their words, she knew they were discussing about her.
Today was one of the very few days the Masters came outside of their dens and calmly hanged around the Sun Warriors, mostly for worship or health reasons and care. The last time Lea saw the Masters was when she first came here to be tested and guided into a better life, while she did get permission and was granted to train with the Sun Warriors; as they were the closest to being the Masters Of Agni. She had also needed to gain permission from the last Dragons in the entire world.
"What do you think they are discussing, Chief?" A woman asked Chief Ranok. Chief Ranok rubbed his hands together, worried.
"Her fate. Whether she will stay longer or go home, if she is deemed to be strong and persistent as the Phoenix, Agni's Disciple. We shall see what they choose." Chief Ranok stated with persistence, confident in Lea's abilities. Lea had been there for three years, ever since she was 13 years of age. She was a fiery one indeed, and she did her best to keep her ideal of never hurting one with her golden flames to heart. She wasn't one to fight the battle for blood, but to fight the battle for balance; So all could live alongside one another.
The Masters gave one last glance at each other before Master Red leaned forward to Lea, nudging her body softly with it's snout. Lea looked up at the two dragons, nodding briefly before standing up from her crouched position. Master Blue moved forward, circling around Lea, lightly brushing her with it's tail.
"Has ra bla, Dovah fi." For the first time, Lea heard their language clearly amongst the dry heaving and hot breath. But she was still unable to decipher their words into her own language.
"Vala Pho ni wo." Master Red replied with a puff of smoke escaping it's nostrils. Master Blue sent a small glare at Master Red, wrapping their tales around Lea protectively, "Hiwa Dovah Phe."
"Hiwa Dovah Fe." Master Red replied with a small grumble. Lea furrowed her brows, noticing the pattern of their words, so far, she had heard 'Dovah' three times, so is that what they called her? And was Master Red against her leaving the island?
"Ie Ga Higga wrath, su Jo wa phe."
'Phe... Fe... Yes and No?' She questioned to herself. She felt Master Blue's tail slightly tightened at they growled, their lips curling upwards to reveal their jagged teeth.
"Uh... Chief Ranok?" Rago whispered to him nervously, seeing the hostility between the two Masters.
"They are having a disagreement... Everyone stand back just in case things get extra hot out here." Chief Ranok ordered, taking a few steps back. Rago stayed in his place, looking over his shoulder at the chief.
"Would Princess Lea be able to withstand their fire?"
"If she was trained under you, I would hope so."
"Yeah... I didn't really train her to withstand big and powerful fiery blasts..."
"What?!" Chief Ranok asked in shock, walking towards him and grabbing his shoulders, "You were supposed to!"
"I thought it wasn't necessary! After all she has dispelled many fires in the past! And her body can finally fully regenerate itself." Rago informed him with a shake of his head. He took his Chief's hands off of him, ignoring the eyes on him.
Lea didn't notice the little ruckus within the tribe watching her. Her ears perked up as she focused on trying to understand what they were saying.
She was going to be there for a while.

A teenage boy hissed in pain when he suddenly got shocked by the machinery, waving his hand in the air.
"That should do it! Press the button Teo!" He called to the boy in the wheelchair. He nodded and pressed the button, watching as everything came to life. The lights turned on, the light bulbs being fueled expendable to create electricity. The teenage boy smiled brightly, standing up and looking around him
"We did it Teo! We naturally created electricity without the use of fire benders! Hell yes!" He laughed loudly, running over to Teo to give him a big hug.
"We gotta get Dad to show him this, do you think he is awake?"
"No doubt! I will go get him, turn this off to reserve power then we will test how long it can stay on and produce power." He ruffled Teo's hair. He ran through the workshop happily in search of their father.
"And get Zuko down here Shinya! He would love to see this to use for Republic City!" Teo called after his older brother who nodded, briefly looking back at him to give him a thumbs up.
Shinya was covered in grime and dirt but didn't mind it, over the years he enjoyed being able to help out Zuko and his father when it came to creating machines, even Sokka would lend a hand here and there when he would visit. He ran through the palace, passing by Serfs who grimaced at the dirt and grime on him, and he didn't smell too good either.
He came to a stop, knocking on Zuko's door as he remembered the time, 'He is probably getting ready for the day.' He thought to himself. The guards didn't bother asking Shinya what he needed, as they knew better not to question the young Earth Bender.
The door opened and there stood Mai, looking half asleep.
"What is it this time, Shinya?"
"I need to speak to Zuko, is he still asleep?" Mai shook her head in response, "He is at the docks to receive shipment, why?"
"My brother and I managed to fully produce electricity without the help of fire benders! I Erm, will let you get ready, see you!" He ran off to the docks. Mai rose a brow, watching as he ran down the hall.
"Lady Mai, shall I alert Fire Lord Zuko?" Mai shook her head, smiling softly.
"No, after all this is a special day for him.".
