The Prophecy of Heroes; Just Us Mortals

Kiodragon

I flew in dragon form to the camp, with everyone else riding on my back. I just hoped Starling wasn't getting herself in trouble.
"We're almost there!" Erika screamed.
I roared in agreement.
If any of them could speak dragon, they'd know I said,
"She said,'okay,' Leo replied.
"You speak dragon?" I roared.
"Not now" he told me.
The others looked at him in confusion.
"You speak dragon too!" Wisty asked.
"Too?" I roared.
"My mom" is all she said.
I wished they would stop leaving the explanation simple.

We got to camp, and I changed back.
"Wisty, the mist gone?" I asked.
"Yeah" she said.
It wasn't long before I saw her, Starling, above the big house.
"STARLING!!!" I yelled,"STOP!!!!!"
She couldn't hear me, and if she did she probably didn't know it was me. So I transformed into a dragon again.
"Starling! What are you doing?" I asked in dragon language.
"Kiodragon? Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you!" She replied.
"Hold on a sec," I said,"you can explain to my friends"
I morphed back to a human. Starling looked shocked, then she did the same.
"You never told me you could do that!" I said happily.
"And you! You've mastered your secret skill! Shapeshifting! I'm so proud of you, Kiodragon!" She said.
"It's Kio" I said.
"What?" She asked.
"My friends call me Kio" I told her.
"Who are these friends?" Starling asked.
"Um, hi" John waved.
Starling studied them, her face showed disapproval.
"Humans! Kiodragon, have you lost your mind! You were captured by humans, why would you be friends with them?" She asked.
"Because these humans saved my life, Starling!" I told her,"the net? Tori and Erika cut me out! We can trust them!"
"We do not trust humans!"
"Except we aren't completely human!" Erika said.
"Are you a dragon? Or any other animal?" Starling asked.
"No, but..."
"Then you are human! Come on Kiodragon, we must leave"
"No!" Wisty said, about to run to me, but John pulled her back.
I turned to Starling.
"My name...is Kio, and I'm not leaving my friends"
"The subject is not up for debate, Kiodragon"
Then I noticed something strange, Starling's eyes were supposed to be gold, but now they were green. Telepathically, I showed this to Wisty. I told her to reveal who Starling was.
"Now!" I said out loud.
She removed the mist, and I saw who we were dealing with.
"Gaea," I said,"where's Starling?" I asked.
"Oh, she's safe, for now, she's with my partner" she said. And she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Kio," Erika started.
"NO! I know you're gonna say we have to stay on task," I snapped,"but Starling needs me! She's my mother, I can't leave her!"
"If you'll let me finish," she said,"I was gonna say that we're here for you, we'll help you find her"
"We need two teams," Veronica said,"Percy, Tori, Teresa, Leo and I will find out how to defeat Gaea, Erika, Kio, John, Wisty, and Annabeth will get Starling"
"We're on it" Erika said.
"E?" I said.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"Thank you" I told her.
