The Prophecy of Heroes; Just Us Mortals

Not too long after Erika woke up, Sadie came in. With everyone not paying attention, I decided to see what she needed.
"What's up?" I asked.
"I can't find Carter anywhere!"
"Oh, um..." I looked back at the others, and right there, I formed a plan.
"Okay, gather a search party with the students, because we need to go and get ready to find Gaea, and..."
Before I could finish, I heard a roar.
"I'd recognize that roar anywhere" Erika said.
"KIO!!!!" Tori screamed trying to get her attention.
I looked back at Sadie.
"Search party, got it, you guys can handle this" she said as she hurried out the door.
"What happened?" Teresa asked.
Starling said something in dragon language to Wisty.
"Um, midnight" she answered.
More dragon talk.
"Oh no" Wisty said alarmed.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Dark Kiodragon" she answered.
"What the heck is dark Kiodragon?" Teresa asked.
"I think I know" Tori said.
"What?" Erika asked.
"I didn't want to believe it was possible until I was sure, but I've heard of Dark Kiodragon before"
"WHAT???" Veronica yelled.
"V, calm down!" Teresa said.
"Don't call me that! I've had enough for today, first this traitor makes a deal with Gaea to kill us, then she keeps a secret that could save our lives!"
"You know what?" Tori said,"maybe I shouldn't even bother, it's not my fault that Erika passed out in a trance five years ago, it's not my fault she fell in the lake! And you still blame me for it! That was FIVE years ago!!!"
"Tori, cut it out!" Nico said.
"No! Because you guys didn't appreciate me when I got you out of those cages! Or when I called Sadie and Carter to bring us here!" She complained,"no, not anymore, I'm done being the third wheel!"
She backed up by the shadow of the bookcase.
"Tori?" I asked.
"Goodbye John" she told me firmly.
All it took was for me to blink one time. One time, and she was gone. And so was Kio.
"Veronica," I said,"YOU'RE DEAD!!!!" I yelled as I chased after her.
I must have chased her around half of the library before someone grabbed my shirt and pulled me in.
"Pull yourself together! Murdering your teammates is not gonna help us find Kiodragon!" Said a girl's voice.
The girl had choppy red hair and blue eyes. She wore a green T-shirt with a leather jacket and gray leggings, with black combat boots.
"Who-who are you?" I asked, my mind still set on drowning Veronica to death.
"My name is Savannah, I'm a friend of Kiodragon's"
"You know Kio?" Wisty asked.
"Long story" Savannah said.
"Then we don't have time for it" Veronica said.
"Stop talking!" I ordered.
"Don't tell me what to do, graecus!"
"Okay!" Erika interrupted.
"You guys, this entire week was a wild goose chase!" Teresa said,"we didn't get anywhere with our goal and the curse is  still in progress! There are still some demigods out there who are mortal!"
"She's right, we have to stick with our main goal and get it done, if not, everyone we love could be hit by this curse," Savannah said,"not just the demigods"
"I'm sorry but who are you?" Nico asked.
"I told you, my name is Savannah"
"Yeah, we need a little more info than that, Army Girl" Veronica said.
"Look, if you're talking about my parents, that information is classified," she said,"all you need to know is that my dad was in the navy"
"Okay, so what do we do now?" Erika asked.
"We'll have to find a place we can stay and make a plan" Nico said.
"Camp Half-Blood! It's deserted anyways!" I suggested.
"Great! Okay, now we need to find some way to break the curse"
"A simple reverse spell won't do anything, I'll help the Daughter of Iris with the potion"
"Alright, but how did you know who my..." Wisty started, but she was interrupted when Nico continued.
"Alright guys, we're obviously staying in our regular cabins, Nightshades in the Poseidon cabin with John, that okay bud?"
"That's fine" I replied,
"Great, Savannah?"
"Yeah?"
"You'll stay in the Hermes cabin"
"Got it"
"Alright you guys, let's go" Nico said.

That night, I made sure the girls were asleep, and I snuck towards the Iris cabin.
"Hey you!" Wisty said from her bed.
"Hey!"
"What are you doing here?"
"Am I not allowed to sleep with my girlfriend?"
She laughed as I got in the bed. I put the covers over us, and wrapped my arms around her.
(I want you to know that there is no sex going on here, I try to be romantic, but not like that)
"This whole thing was a big waste of time" Wisty said,"nothing went as planned"
"I know," I said,"I'm not feeling any more confident about it than you"
"You know something?" She asked.
"What?" I asked.
"You're cute when you're concerned"
I chuckled, and I heard Wisty fall asleep. I couldn't blame her because, not too long after, so did I.

Erika's POV

I was almost asleep, when I heard the door open.
"Erika?" Nico asked in a whisper.
"Hi! What's up?" I replied.
"I just wanted to see how you were holding up" he said as he came and sat on the bed.
"With what?"
"You know, Veronica went pretty wild, I just wanted to..."
"Oh," I said, understanding,"no, I'm fine, she's just overprotective is all"
"Right, okay"
There was a weird moment of silence until he finally spoke up.
"I also wanted to apologize" he said.
"For what?"
"For pouring out my feelings for you all at once, I know it was awkward"
"Right," I said,"but Nico, the truth is, I liked you too"
" 'liked'?" He asked.
"Before we started dating" I explained. "Oh," he said, clearly enjoying that fact,"well I gotta go" he finished.
"Yeah, it's late, I should probably go to sleep too"
Before he left, he kissed me. It was the most shocking thing I've ever experienced, because that was my very first kiss.
"Night!" He said, and closed the door.

Tori's POV

"Ugh!" I yelled.
Soon enough, Nico came in the door.
"Tori? What are you doing here? I thought you bailed!"
I sighed.
"Nico, I'm so sorry, I just needed some time to cool off" I explained,"you don't have to forgive me, I don't deserve it, but I..." I stopped there because I started crying.
"Hey," Nico said trying to comfort me,"it's okay, I forgive you"
I wiped my tears,"you do?" I asked.
"I have to, I'm your brother" he said sarcastically.
I laughed, and after that he left my room to go to his own. And I fell asleep.

Aww!!!😍 I'm kinda proud of myself for this one.

This is the last chapter before the new book, and this time I'll try not to make it a wild goose chase. See ya in the next book!
