"Okay Jesy, I brought you some breakfast." Leigh-Anne said as she opened up her bedroom door. She was thinking about what Perrie said. It was strange how the little girl seemed to know things.

When Leigh-Anne walked fully into the room she paused as she realized Jesy was lying down on her back in the middle of her bed staring at the ceiling and crying. Her sobs were small and baby like.

"Jesy what's wrong with you?" Leigh-Anne asked in alarm. She moved quickly towards Jesy's bed.

Jesy sat up really fast and started wiping away her own tears. "She's back." Jesy said quietly, in a near whisper.

"Jesy why are you crying?" Leigh-Anne asked.

"Um . . ." Jesy wasn't sure what to say. If she truthfully said that she was sad because she thought Leigh-Anne wouldn't come back, Leigh-Anne would probably think she was a weirdo. She shook her head as one of the voices made a rude comment about Leigh-Anne thinking she was weird anyway.

"Are you hungry?" Leigh-Anne asked. She supposed that Jesy probably didn't want to talk about it. She sort of wished she would though. For some reason she desperately wanted to make her feel better.

Jesy looked at the two plates Leigh-Anne carried in either hand. She wasn't really hungry but she didn't want to seem rude or ungrateful. She nodded slightly.

Leigh-Anne handed her a plate and fork. "Eat up." She said. Leigh-Anne climbed onto Jesy's bed and sat facing her with crossed legs. She started eating and watched as Jesy stared at the food. "Don't you like eggs?" Leigh-Anne asked. She would hate for the eggs to go to waste. It was rare that they got those.

Jesy pricked at a piece of egg with the fork and put it into her mouth. She chewed for a really long time then swallowed. She picked up the bread and nibbled at it a little. By the time Jesy had swallowed a small piece of the bread Leigh-Anne was already finished clearing her plate.

"Wow you're not really a big eater are you?" Leigh-Anne asked. "It's okay . . . I'll just take it back downstairs. Prod and Roc can share it as a snack." Leigh-Anne stood and took Jesy's plate from her. "I'll see you soon Jesy." She said giving Jesy a warm smile.

When she closed the door behind her Jesy curled up on the bed.

Look what you've done. The man was saying. You refused her food and now she's offended.

Yeah this time she really isn't coming back. The woman chimed in.

"Oh . . . I really did ruin it." Jesy mumbled. She didn't mean to not be able to eat. She just couldn't eat more than a few nibbles.

You suck! You know that right? The woman asked her. If I was that girl I'd kill myself to get away from you.

"I know." Jesy mumbled. Things had started off so well with Leigh-Anne but she was ruining it. Jesy had never hated herself more. She promised herself that if Leigh-Anne came back she'd do better.

You can't do better. And she isn't coming back you idiotic thing. The man said.

You can never be good enough for anyone to like you. That girl is a fool for even being nice.

Jesy shrunk into herself. They were right. They were always right. They were supposed to know best. They were the voices of her parents after all. They were the two people who brought her to this retched Earth and they were the ones who showed her just how horrible and disgusting she was. They hated her more than anyone else ever could. And if they never could find love in their hearts for her then how was anyone else supposed to?
