Chapter 17:

"Bye guys!!" I said as everyone but Garrett, Evan, & Kennedy left.

"So guys? What now?" Evan asked.

"Hmmm.... I don't care... What time is it?" I asked.

"About eleven thirty." Kennedy answered.

"We could watch that other movie we got?" I suggested.

"Sure." Garrett responded.

I put in the movie. I took my spot beside Garrett on the love seat. Kennedy & was lying on the couch with her feet by Evan. A few minutes into the movie Garrett wrapped his arm around me. I could feel myself start to turn pink. It was weird with everyone watching our every move now. I knew they were paying attention to the screen, but I felt like Kennedy & Evan were soaking it all in.

"Isn't this better? Not having to hide?" was the question Garrett whispered.

"Yeah..." I said smiling. It was better this way but, it also put us in the spotlight.

I wrapped myself up in the blanket off the back of the couch.

"Oooo!!! Guys hot chocolate sounds good right!?" I asked excitedly.

"Mmm.... Yeah." Kennedy seconded.

"Garrett? Evan?" I asked the guys.

"Yeah I'll take one."

"Me too."

I got up & made four hot chocolates.

"Marshmallows?" I offered.

"Yeah."

"Of course."

"Sure."

I took them to each of them one by one.

"Okay...... Here ya go." I said handing Garrett his & sitting down beside of him with mine.

We resumed the movie & drank our cocoa. I snuggled back into my spot under my blanket with his arm around me.

-Garrett's POV-

We were about halfway through the movie. I noticed Kennedy had dozed off. I looked down at Hannah. She was out cold too.

"Evan." I whispered.

"Yeah?" He answered loud.

"Shhh! They're both asleep. I say we hang on for a few minutes to make sure they're good & asleep then we can go. It's after midnight." I told him checking my watch. He gave me a thumbs up.

We waited about ten minutes.

"Ready?" I whispered.

"Yeah." He whispered back.

I grabbed the throw pillow I had on the other side of me. I slowly lifted Hannah's head up. I held it there, laid the pillow down, & then placed her head on the pillow. She already had her feet up since they were tucked beside her during the movie. I covered her up, kissed her forehead, & went out the door. I grabbed the spare key they kept taped to the back of the lattice on the back porch. I locked the house, put the key back, & got into the car. Most guys wouldn't have went through all that but the bottom lock was broken & her dad was working midnights. I wasn't just going to leave the house wide open. I decided to send her a text letting her know what'd happened.

"Hey. You & Kennedy fell asleep so Evan & I went back to my place. I locked the door & put the key back. Your dad will probably be home by the time you read this though. I'm sorry about tonight if you weren't ready... Don't let the bed bugs bite Sleeping Beauty." I smiled as I sent it.

I just couldn't believe it. My luck lately had been crazy. Hannah kissed me back. Hannah was actual paying more attention to me than to anyone else in her life. Everyone knew. I couldn't believe it. She was mine. All mine. No one else's. I smiled thinking of her blushing tonight.
