Skylar~

I sniffled a little as I continued walking. I just wanted to go home, but I knew it was impossible. Not because everyone hated me, no, it was because I had no idea how to use my powers. How could I vanish once, but not be able to do it again to go home?

I kep my hands over my stomach as I walked along the shore line. I had been walking for hours, just parying my body would suddenly teleport back to that restraunt. Sadly, nothing ever worked.

I heard the leaves rustle and I instantly turned letting a warning growl slip out. It was stupid seeing as I was the on- My eyes widened at what I saw coming from the bushes.

"What are you doing on my island!?" A woman yelled. I snarled at her. She didn't seem phased in the least. I kept my protective stance though what I was protecting was safe inside my body.

"I didn't know this islad had habitants. I erm. don't know how I got here." She rolled her eyes.

"Don't bullshit me. You ported here and you are too stupid to get away." I raised an eyebrow at her tone. Though I was a true submissive, I wasn't about to let this female talk to me like that. "Oh don't get your panties in a twist. Come along. You need shelter and food. Your sons are starving." She said and turned her back to me walking along the shoreline. I stood there shocked a minute. How did she know I was pregnant?

"Because I am a psyche. And yes, I can read minds. Why do you think I am on this island alone? To get away from love? Ha no. I wish I could have love right now, hell, I wish I could have just a great fuck, but nooooo. The gods refuse to let me have just a moment of silence." She muttered along. I thought it best to just keep my mouth shut, and my thoughts gaurded.

"How do I leave here?" I asked shyly. All my previous confidence high tailed it out my system when she said she could read my mind.

"That's the thing," She laughed. "You don't. Not until someone finds you without you reaching out to them. My mother, Psykhe, won't let you leave until you have found yourself. As goddess of the soul, she loves to play little games with people and will sometimes change a persons course so they end up here." I looked confused.

"Find myself? But I know who I am." I said. She chuckled softly.

"No dear, you haven't. By the time you leave this island, you will know excatly who you are, and what you are meant to accomplish." She said and stopped walking as we reached a small house. I looked at it a little and to tell you the truth, I couldn't see myself living there for even a night. My mates had completely spoiled me, and I liked it that way. I wanted my damn mansion back.

Ryder~

I slammed my fists on the table.

"I want my mate found!" I yelled. "Right goddamn now! You sned out whomever you want but I want my woman back in our arms! It has been three weeks! She could be starving! My son could be dying!" I yelled hatefully at the war wolves that stood around the desk. You could clearly see that they were exhausted but my anger wouldn't allow me to care.

"Come on, Ryder." Derek said. His voice sounded as broken as we three felt. None of us had really slept. We couldn't stand to go home and lay in a bed that our mate once occupied. "They need some rest. If they don't, we will never find her." He said. His voice breaking at the end as emotions leaked out of his once bullet proof mask. I turned away and looked out at the beautiful beach that was the back yard of the pack house.

"You have two days to recover. Not a second over 48 hours or you will be placed in a cell for however long in takes us to find Skylar. Got it?" I said hatefully as I kept my back to them. I had to be cruel or I would break down and possibly not get back up. They quickly left the room and I sighed. I slumped into the chair.

I was so torn up that I didn't bother to stand when Alpha walked in. You could see it irritated his wolf, but they both knew what was going on. And they wouldn't have the heart to punish us when we were already in so much pain.

Alpha truly loved Skylar like his own. He and his wife both loved her. She was his best submissive and she always pleased him, though never sexually.

"Ryder I believe it is time for you, Derek, and Cain to go home. You three need some rest just like the rest of us." I growled and he tensed in return. Though he was grieving just like us, but not as much, he wouldn't be threatened. We had no proof that our mate had died, but the odds got worse and worse with every hour that passed.

"You want us to REST?! Our LIFE is out there all alone!" I yelled standing. His eyes flashed with anger.

"We don't know that!" Alpha yelled. "We have no proof that Skylar is alone much less that she is in danger of dying! Now you get out the pack house and go home! That is an order Ryder Lane." He warned. My eyes flashed dangerously but I had no choice but to obey.

"Yes Sir." I said bowing my head slightly. Alpha stood to his full height but it wasn't much. Though he was the strongest one here, and buffest one, he didn't reach my height. He almost did, but I had him a couple inches. I walked out and went to my car. Cain followed me silently. I had lashed out at him so many times that he said nothing when I was around. I hated the way I was treating him. He was my best friend for fucks sake, but it was just unbearable without my love in my arms. I sighed.

"Here." I whispered and handed my keys over to Cain. His eyes widened and he looked up at me.

"Ryder where are you going??" He asked as fear overpowered the worry in his eyes. I simply shrugged and walked off from the group. I needed some time completely alone to prepare myself for if Skylar never came home to us.
